I stayed with 25 of us in total, celebrating my 50th birthday, the ages ranged from 8 months to 54 years old. Everything was wonderful, the kitchens had absolutely everything you could need for cooking for that amount. It's peaceful and has some beautiful walks around. The owners are lovely and accommodating and left us to get on with it. Our dogs loved the freedom and the children thought it was heaven.
Many of my group are hoping to go back. A real find.

We had an enjoyable stay at The Farmhouse in July 2015. Its well equiped - everything you'd need in the kitchen for a large party, plenty of space,a good selection of games and newish dvds if needed. There are four good sized, nice double bedrooms on the first floor, and two twin rooms in attic space that are more suitable for young adults or children. Two of the doubles are ensuite, and one of the others has its own door to the family bathroom - only negative here is that the sound carries and can disturb people sleeping. Although its part of a complex the house has its own dedciated barbecue area with wondefful views down the valley to the sea, so if you like barbecues this is a big plus. Our only negative was that when we arrived we found that the sespit drainage had blocked which left a bad smell in the kitchen that lingered on for a couple of days. When we brought it to their attention the owners were very friendly & attentive and promptly fixed it, but really, it should perhaps have been done earlier.....

We have just spent 4 nights at the beautiful Lancombes House out in the English countryside. This is an ideal place to get away from the every day hustle and bustle of life. The grounds are lovely, the cottage is clean and quiet, and the owners are so friendly. We did day trips to Stonehenge, Salisbury and The Jurassic Coast. The cottage we stayed in slept 4, but 2 others sleep 12 and would be a perfect place for a family reunion, country wedding, or fun girl friends get away. We loved our time there, and hope you will too!

Last February my husband & I had two nights away in the glorious Dorset countryside. It was Buckingham Cottage at Lancombes House, West Milton. I can wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone wishing to get away - and I do mean get away! The cottage is in a wonderful remote spot and Jenny has thought of everything for visitors. Nothing is forgotten - except your cares. It is unbelievably clean, incredibly spacious amazingly cosy. Nothing is too much trouble.
The single-storey Buckingham's plenty big enough for four people (double and twin bedrooms) and its location is such that, no matter how old or young you might be, there is something there for everyone. The view from the living room is heavenly - bring binoculars and a camera!
There's a fireplace and wood-burning stove, a fully-equipped fitted kitchen and a newly renovated bathroom with a power shower).
There's a south-facing private garden and patio overlooking that wonderful view. The garden gets the sun all day long and, as if that's not enough, there's a games room, a pool table and a dartboard - oh, and a DVD & book library - all on site.
Jenny showed us around the Tanglewood cottage (sleeps 12) and the Farmhouse (also sleeps 12). She is very proud of these and quite rightly so. What a feather in her cap they are and what a wonderful time could be had by families or friends coming together in this beautiful setting.
To add to all this, Jenny is a lovely lady! My husband and I want to thank her once again for the superb hospitality and her driving directions so that we could travel to the local seasides!

We stayed here for two nights over the weekend and found it to be, ok.
We stayed in Tanglewood and, yes it's big, yes it does have an unusual layout which the kids found interesting.
The kitchen is well equipped and there is a large dining table in the dining area.
I wouldn't say the place was dirty but I think they probably allow dogs here so having three babies crawling around and finding their hands covered in dog hair was not what we would've liked. Not a very baby/child friendly place.
Lots of cobwebs everywhere.
The games room was not very welcoming, a bit grotty with balls missing from the pool table.
You are in the country but due to the parking all you see out the window is parked cars.
The owners were very welcoming and friendly.
We wouldn't go back here but to be fair it has got good reviews so everyone has a different experience. This was ours.
