Big campus style brewery, easily one of the best in the area. Attentive service even during highly popular times. Visit when they first open or during off hours for the best experience. The big parking lot can fill up fast, be prepared to stalk and search for a parking spot. Large outdoor area / patio is well used. Separate pizza place inside for eats, but you must approach the pizza counter to order. Huge selection of beers including strange, exotic, and experimental types. Swag store for the corporate swag junkies. Growler glass cost is very reasonable. Would easily be 5 stars but they mis- charged my credit card $31 during one of our recent visits, to big of a mistake not to impact the review. To their credit they did find and correct the charge before we caught the mistake on our CC statement. Days Inn (1-2 star) is a short 1.2 mile walk away...cheers.

The new Madtree has an extensive space on Madison Rd, with nice outdoor seating and bar areas , including a recreation area for cornhole, really nice for families and serious beer drinkers alike. They have a full range of beers which are rotating on their taps for all tastes, and they have Catch a Fire set up as their food vendor. Catch a Fire does excellent pizzas, the Soul Rebel as a vegetarian choice is excellent with kale and crème fraiche and roasted garlic; the Mr. Brown mushroom one is also good- with truffle oil. They have expanded their menu to include salads, paninis, Mac and cheese, and many starters including wings. They also offer brunch meal options on the weekend. It is a nice place to relax , eat a bit of food and have some excellent beer. The Axis Mundi is a superb stout, rich with a nice bitter note. Their tropical IPA, Entropic Theory is an excellent fruity choice as well. Their sours are also very good (Boysen the Hood and Shade are great choices). And of course their classic Psychopathy IPA is a superb choice for a standard IPA.

Same great beer, nicer space. Same great food, more choices. Same great staff, more room to enjoy your visit. In a previous review I said Madtree has some of the most user friendly craft beer with a wide variety of style and flavor choices. In the new facility there is expanded tap capacity, so you have more choice. Catch a fire pizza has always been tasty, but the menu is expanded. The wings are awesome! We have been on weekend afternoons and have thoroughly enjoyed hanging out in the new space. It is a regular stop on our craft beer trolls.

My family went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The new place is incredible. It is huge and there are bars inside and outside. I had a flight of 4 different beers (about 15-20 to choose from). All were excellent. Most of their beers are very hoppy. They have very eclectic pizza types. The pizza is thin crust and good but not great. I hear that they serve subs, but not on a Saturday afternoon. There was biscuits and sausage gravy on the menu. It looked amazing but I didn't try it. There were people there with their dogs and there were kids. Fun activities. You can walk through parts of the brew house. Awesome place.

I ordered flights of beer and all of them were delicious! They brew a wide range of craft beers from stouts to IPAs to beer on the fruitier and tart side. The pizza was amazing and their outside patio is a beautiful venue to hang out! I recommend the Dreamsicle-delicious!!
