A jazz trio played some of our favorite songs. The décor was very unusual and food was yummy. Everyone was very friendly. Very close to the Port Ludlow hotel and easy to reach by boat.

Looking out over the waterfront from the historical Ajax Cafe can be quite charming, however the dining experience does not back it up. The first thing you will notice is how loud it is. Somehow the acoustics of the room reflect the sound inward making it difficult to carry on a conversation without shouting. Then you'll realize that the service is slow and the food mediocre. To top it off your bill for all of this will be unjustifiably large.

It's probably been 8-10 years since our last visit to the Ajax, which we as fairly regular visitors loved! So it was with a bit of trepidation that we booked a table when we finally got back to the area...would it be the same? Well, the Ajax didn't disappoint, thank goodness. Same funky atmosphere, same packed tables, same delicious food...and the newbies with us thoroughly enjoyed it as well. And to top it off, a great trio was playing and made it even more enjoyable. Can't wait to return on our next visit...and we definitely won't wait so long!

Great food, fun atmosphere and wonderful entertainment. One of my favorite stops when I'm in the Northwest. A comfortable kick backed hole in the wall place that won't disappoint your pallet, for those who seek it out.

Menu was reasonably priced, and the steak flank is especially good, done just right.
