A quaint, bizzare little place. The lady is lovely but too busy for one person I think. Friendly black cat and black dog. The shop is kinda in her house which feels a bit intrusive but she very much makes you feel at home. Decent range of lavender products.
Thank you for your review. Yes I am very busy.
Visited for morning tea on a stunning winter morning. Enthusiastically welcomed by the family dog and spent a relaxing visit on the deck overlooking the gardens and beyond with tea and scones with a hint of lavender. Well stocked gift shop and agreeable conversation.
2015 there was a handful of us, 2016, maybe double that ..but this year Easter 2017 and the word had gone out and boy did they come....cattle were moved and Peter out with the grader making new sites...amazing and testimony to this incredible family's devotion to providing a fantastic low priced camp while still giving you the feeling of the great open spaces...as usual free brekkey on Sunday morning...all hands on deck...nearly grabbed Mrs Bs FAMOUS BUTTERMILK pancake recipe...maybe next year ....My new addition to my fur family..INDIGO BLUE DOG had a ball chasing Tilly , one of Tims working dogs , in and out of the dam at back of property...as usual it was hard to leave...but I'LL BE BACK...are..I mean WE..We'll be back
We called in for a lavender scone and cream/jam. It is a delightful place that also has a small gift shop. The scones were home baked and delicious with a very nice cup of coffee. You can also camp here on the property. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
A big thank you to Peter, Tere and Tilly from Aloomba Lavender for a perfect 5 night stay and your country hospitality. Your campground and facilities are well presented and maintained. It is also the perfect base to explore the local area, on both sides of the border, and it provides a relaxing and a beautiful backdrop for unwinding at the end of the day. Also appreciated how you made us feel welcome. Really enjoyed the cuppa's and chats.
Thank you so much for your kindness. We enjoyed your friendly visit too. It is so easy to be friendly if it is returned. Tere
We decided to pop into the Aloomba Lavender Farm. We were met by the farm dog Tilly who led us to the Cafe and Shop. The owners were on duty so we ordered the Devonshire Tea which comprised of Lavender scones and a lovely cup of tea. I'd never had lavender scones before so was a bit wary but they were absolutely delicious. Accompanied by Jam and real cream not that foam from a spray can. As we enjoyed our morning tea we were able to have a really nice chat with the owners. We also visited the shop which was amazing. Most of the products sold there are made by the Lady of the farm. Her embroidery and general sewing is incredible. I don't know where she finds the time the shop is full of a huge variety of lavender goods. There are other non lavender gifts as well. The 4 of us came away very impressed and very happy
Thank you for your kind words, but you must understand it is easy to respond to very nice guests too. Tere
