Due to personal reasons, I tend to stay in "accessible" rooms to see just how accessible they are. As I have said in other reviews, because my wife is in a wheelchair, we have, more often than not, encountered many difficulties with "accessible" rooms that follow the law to the bare minimum but is no use for anyone in a wheelchair, however, this room is by far the BEST accessible room I have experienced. If you review the photos, there are no tight, cramped places. I wish that every accessible room was designed like this. Look at the space! It's well furnished yet has enough room for a wheelchair to move about with little fear of constantly running into things or not being able to get from one side of the room to the other because there is no space between the bed and the television stand. The bathroom is also well designed. The toilet is accessible from either side for a commode chair and the sink is deep enough to allow legs underneath without smashing knees. The shower was fine, however, instead of just a hand wand there could have been a wall mounted shower head as well for convenience. I would also recommend installing a light in the shower as it was a bit dark.
All in all, after seeing some bad excuses for "accessible" rooms, I wish that all hotels could model their accessible rooms like this one. This room should be the standard and I am truly impressed!
