A very popular place with locals and visitors. I found it a little noisy and highly seasoned food. Loved the catfish though.

Ajax has great home cooking, and an awesome dessert selection. It's the atmosphere of a diner in the back, with a bar in the front that stays open after the restaurant. They frequently have live music in the bar area at night.

Great food and really great service. Being in the square in Oxford, it can get quite crowded. However, they handle the crowds quite well and just about everything in the place is great!!!

The 4 stars is for the food & atmosphere. My daughter & I ordered the Deuce Burgers. Seasoned perfectly, great flavors! The hostess and server were that engaging and acted like they'd rather be elsewhere. I asked for extra napkins for us, it took appx 10 minutes and only brought 1 for both of us. The burgers are mouth watering, chin dripping of goodness and you need more than a napkin in a half to share. Other than that. Good visit!

Spent a Wednesday evening at Ajax for dinner in summer. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get seated. It has the ambience of an old diner, which is nice. Felt a bit rushed by the server, who was pleasant, though not friendly. Food was good, but not great. Had the catfish with slaw (which seemed to come out of a container provided by Sysco). Limited liquor selection, though a decent array of beers.
