We spent 8 days on Koh Tao, staying at Sensi Paradise Resort in a Garden view Villa, and we are so happy with the choice.

The staff were all very friendly and informative of the island, and helped us out with any questions we had.

One thing that really inpressed us was the constant maintaince and tidy up done on the property. Work constently being done to improve the footpaths, work on the gardens, cleaning the pool, and on the general up keep. They look after the place very well.

The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of breakfast options avaliable. We didnt have lunch there as we were out during the day, but we had dinner there at the restraunt most nights. The food was very good and the service was better! We recoment the red curry duck, or the custom pizzas.

Overall it was an excellent stay, one we will return to again should we make our was back to Koh Tao (hopefully!), and highly recommend Sensi Paradise Resort to anyone.

Stayed at this beautiful Oceanside resort for 2 days with my husband and in laws. The room was easily the nicest room we stayed in during our trip in Thailand. Room comes with a mini fridge, free fruits and water, a sarong and slippers and beach towels and beach bags and hats to enjoy during your stay. The bed was so comfortable!!!! Three pools are available at the hotel and the restaurant has amazingly delicious Thai food. Awesome hotel and very romantic. I wish we had stayed longer.

Staff are rude, especially the staff at the breakfast buffet. Also, had my slippers stolen while having breakfast. They are so undertrained that they don't even know who attended the breakfast buffet which might help in pinpointing who might've taken the slippers...

Cockroach under the bed. The door was really difficult to lock and open and had a huge gap below that allowed all sorts of insects to come in!! They don't know how to insulate the rooms from insects, and so many ants and cockroaches are roaming around the room.

Staff are not trained to tell you one thing straight; instead one staff members hands you a taxi number to call, while the other tells you not to call but instead show up at the reception and wait for 5 minutes for a cab to arrive.

Breakfast was awful. They don't even put signs with dish names or offer you any assistance except for "coffee or tea sir?" as soon as you sit down. They don't put the yogurt or butter in a fridge; sorry to disappoint you but they actually don't have any kind of yogurt.

There's no beach nearby to swim!!! You have to walk about 3KMs/2miles or get transportation.

In terms of booking a tour, they refer you to a tour organized by "Oxygen" which is so poor and unprofessional. Found out later that every travel agency has "oxygen", and I have a feeling that this company pays a good amount of commission and that's why they're referred to.

The staff will stare at you in an awkward way. Last but not least, found out this this resort is owned by a marijuana seed bank owner... not going back.

One of the best places I have ever stayed. Recommended to everyone.
After a long overnight train and ferry across to the island, being met off the ferry by the free transfer to the hotel (that we didn't book, it was just standard for the hotel) and then being greeted with a cocktail at reception. This set the tone for the whole stay. It's a beautiful location with gorgeous private wooden bungalows. The rooms are beautiful with private balconies, mosquito nets and air con with large comfortable beds.
Free breakfast to set up for the day (buffet of sausage, bacon, pancakes, french toast, rice, toast, juices, yogurt, cereals etc), with a stunning view over Mae Head.
The pool is a quiet area with small bar, the pool itself is large and over 2 levels. There is a small semi-private beach at the bottom with plenty of sheltered areas from the direct sun and as many sun loungers to use, also with a small bar.
The hotel also offers a laundry service and massages.
Location is within a couple of minutes walk from Mae Head and about 25mins walk from Sairee Beach, the 2 small towns with the restaurants and bars you will want to use.
Only criticism is the prices of drinks/food and massages is relatively expensive compared to those offered in the towns but not more than you would expect in other hotels.

Can't say enough to recommend this hotel

Stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed every minute

The staff were fantastic and attentive from start to finish

From lovely breakfast to the little touches - bringing afternoon tea and biscuits to your balcony.

The pools were quiet and clean.

The rooms were just as a rustic type hotel could be.

Saw the reviews on the half open bathrooms and mozzie issues. There's a lock on the bathroom door so use it, it's not difficult. And the mozzie net is put down by staff every night so all good.

Also saw the negative comments about the noisy boats. Let's be clear, yes it's by the pier, no it's not all day and night and also with air conditioning it won't ruin your peace.

The private beach was also great with the resort being tucked away from the main area

Would thoroughly recommend
