I like the place and its hand on experience with all farm animals...it is ace for toddlers and kids as they can feed and play with the animals.
Hardy's animal farm was very good. We went on a Friday in June so it was very quiet which was enjoyable. There are so many animals here compared to a few farms I have been to, the goats are brilliant and really make the visit worthwhile. We were also told we were unable to touch any of the horses or donkeys during our visit, I'm not sure why though. After about an hour we had seen everything, that being said you could spend a whole day here with the kids on the play area and park. I do think it was expensive for the amount of time spent here but it was a lovely day out
Came here today 4/7/17 and was really disapointed in the farm. We arrived at the farm which was priced at £8 each which i didnt mind paying however, i would never go again after this visit. Advertising tractor rides but when we got to were the tractor is there was a sign saying that it had broken. My little one was gutted! Onto the bird aviaries, The first 2 were empty! Then just one with budgies in and a parrot (that you couldnt see). Into the pig unit. Again another sign sorry no pigs as waiting for an arrival. There was a couple round the other side but not many at all. The best bit was the food. Not brilliant but not that bad. Iv visited the previous years and its has always been ok but after today i would not return. Surely there should be a reduction if half the stuff isnt there and the main thing the kids like (tractor rides) isnt working. £8 adult £8 children. What a rip off.
Great flat surfaces for a wheelchair. Even had ramped access to the tractor. Amanda and Victor were so helpful and considerate to my daughters additional needs...we loved our day on the farm.
I must say if you are staying in Skegness or Ingoldmells and you have children with you visit this farm it is a must .
I went there at Whitsun with my son and my granddaughter we ended up staying the whole day . There is a fantastic outdoor play area and a brilliant and huge indoor soft play area..
If you book online the day before you make a substantial saving on entry tickets we didn't but it was still worth every penny ,
The staff are excellent and really helpful and informative , my granddaughter loved the opportunity to actually hold a baby goat she thought it was cute and funny that it was called a kid .
You can also hold guinea pigs and rabbits ,
There are many animals to view and it is actually a working farm , tractor rides are available and fun to ride around the farm in a tractor trailer .
What my little granddaughter really loved was the fact you could purchase animal feed at the brilliant farm gift shop either in little bags or a bucket for £1.50 then you were allowed to keep the bucket .
Oh I must not forget to mention the very reasonably priced cafe and restaurant . The food was very tasty and the service was wonderful plus my granddaughter had a kids picnic box it had lots of lovely child friendly food in it but she loved the fact you also got a gift of a wooden pig in the picnic box which she treasured the rest of the holiday .
There is lots more lovely things I could mention like the pitchfork and putt games and the climb on mechanical pony rides but this review is already super long .
Go enjoy yourselves a great day out for the whole family
Went to Hardys yesterday with my husband, daughter and Grandson. We were staying in Mablethorpe. We had heard this place was a must see and I totally agree.
My 20 month old Grandson loved the tractor ride (wheelchair friendly) the chicks, the piglets, the rabbits the goats were fantastic, he loved them being so small and friendly, one nibbled his t shirt and he thought it was hilarious. He loved the play areas, the toy tractors, the pony cycles and the duck pond.
The staff were all very polite and cheerful, the farm was well maintained with a good toilet block and lots of hand washing facilities.
The initial impression of this farm was a very abrupt grumpy woman at reception. She charged me £23.80 for 3 adults and a free toddler. we had a 10% off voucher. I also bought a bag of feed and she barked instructions at us. It wasn't until later that I realised the numbers didn't add up. Its not a massive discrepancy and to be honest if she hadn't been so abrupt I probably wouldn't be mentioning it as we had such a lovely day.
A bad first impression for a lovely animal farm.
