location....location.....best place for beach walking, sea swimming, and if you want to visit Cinque terre you have to travel to La Spetzia by car to ride the boat,,,,nearby parking with daily fees....

disadvantage:
breakfast,,,no varieties,,,,,,,no nearby Supermarkets or restaurants...15 minutes walk the nearest shop.
better to stay at La Setzia for better Shops and food,,,,,

Room tip: high floor room ,, and a sea view room

My husband and I had such a wonderful time staying at the Hotel Florida in Lerici. Our room had a balcony that looked out over the beach and the sea. It is very well located and one can easily walk to restaurants and to boat transportation to visit the Cinque Terre. The breakfast was simple but very nicely done.

On advice from an Italian colleague he suggested to stay here, rather than the chaos of the Cinque towns. Great advice. The hotel is charming , nice views, restaurants all around and mainly Italians in the town. Reasonable size room, bathrooom etc, lovely staff. We caught the train from Pisa and from La Spezia or Sarzana it's a 12 Euro taxi. Lovely beach right outside, with beach bars an cafes. Still warm in late September. A simple ferry from here to Portovenere and onto the Cinque ports is very easy. But do yourself a favour and visit Tellaro and Montemarcello. All the beauty and charm but none of the manic crowds. We walked to Montemarcello AND back from Florida, quite a walk, but amazing views right down the coast.

We were lucky because I think not all the rooms have frontal sea view. We did and it was so awesome. We had a terrace that we enjoyed lots at night. The hotel is just right in front of the beach; the location is unbeatable. 10 min walk to "central" Lerici and about 15min walk to San Terenzo. They have parking which is a must there if you rent a car. Breakfast was really good, lots of options, specially sweet ones. The only downside was that at the front desk they were unable to explain to us where exactly to take the bus to Telaro and they just pointed at a general direction for the bus stop. Just walk there and you will see it...It turns out there was more than one stop on that direction and we waited for the bus for nothing, we were in the wrong one, which was very close from the other one but if you have no idea is easy to get confused. I still would recommend this hotel and would go back, I really liked the location and view.

This hotel was to be our starting point for Cinque Terra. But the hotel was a jewel, the staff fantastic, the town great. We will make a return visit. A big plus was the parking space provided by the hotel.
