We recently visited to see a film on a Saturday afternoon. The screening room itself was fine, the film was enjoyable. The price of snacks and drinks is high.
After the film we were going to have lunch at the downstairs restaurant however after visiting the ladies toilets and seeing how dirty they were we decided not to bother.
Firstly you will pay more money to watch a film here but its well worth it. The general loud and rowdy Cineworld / Odeon crowds are all but gone, replaced by a class of people who are well informed and can behave like actual human beings in a cinema environment for a few hours.
Really wide comfy seats that recline back and loads of leg room, plenty of space. Often the cinema is at least 50% empty, which is great for concentration and general peace! (Depending on film and day of the week obviously)
Tickets are about £11 each, but snacks / popcorn, drinks ect are cheap as!
We tried to go and watch a film today but a man on the desk was horribly rude to us. We completely understand that a projector may have broken but his demeaning manner when telling us was awfully rude. He pointed to a sign that was printed off and told us that the sign told us it was broken. We were very disappointed and some simple human manners would have made it completely acceptable.
I love this place, they always have some sort of interactive art 'thing' on, the cinema is ace and the Gin - banging. I love fact, its becoming my favourite hide away in Liverpool.
Went to see the new Beatles film here, it was on 3rd floor but there iis a lift which is great as I have a disability. Inside the cinema it was small but thankfully loads of room between rows for you to keep legs stretched. The staff were very professional. It was my first time here but it won't be my last!
I like the cinema because of its superb comfort. Today I went to see the film "I Daniel Blake" and I happily went to the "Silver Screen" showing. It was a pleasure to go with an older viewing simply because there was NO POPCORN!! YesYesYes such a joy to be able to concentrate on the artwork infront of me without the insane noise you get so often from that tasteless rubbis. The cinema was silent throughout. Brilliant. As for the film it should be compulsory viewing by all MP.s. What a disgrace this country is!
