We are couple stayed there in penthouse type of room for a night.
Felt the room was spacious, posh with jacuzzi in bath.
The sitout was good with great view
Food was good
The pool was ok in size for a hill station
Service was good

Had a great stay. Was there for a day. Comfortable and trouble free. Everything went on smooth. Food quality and quantity was good too. The view was refreshing. Sky Walk is the highlight. Hotel is equipped with an infinity pool and indoor games.

Two nights at GRT Nature Trails resort in Yercaud..excellent weather, nice rooms..appreciable service..altogether a nice experience. Stay was comfortable, food was excellent, especially some sizzlers were nicely done. Quiet environment, pollution free air and noiseless surrounding. It was an experience we will remember for a long time. Staff were very welcoming, the manager Mr Sheriff
also was helpful. The chef Mr Muthu's personal attention in the restaurant was a nice gesture. Not to mention the "Good night" chocolates..thanks Muthu! Altogether it was a nice time spent there. We sure will plan for more trips to GRT Nature Trails.

I stayed at GRT Nature trails Yercaud with my family from 2nd to 4th Jan 2013. It was a mixed bag of good and not so good experiences. At arrival, the room category for which the reservation was made wasn't ready, even after we arrived way past the standard check-in time of the hotel. Since we were traveling by train from Chennai, thus requested the hotel for Car pickup from Salem. Unfortunately, my wife forgot her stole in the car. it wasnt returned till two days later we realized and asked the Front desk staff to check. It left a not so good impression about the staff integrity.
Though I must say, room that we took had stunning view of the valley. You could almost spent hours in the balcony, but monkeys are a big nuisance. If you must, please do so on your own risk.
Food quality could be better, though variety offered is enough. Hotel supplies are quite average. Menu folders are in bad condition, both in the room and in restaurant.
Also, initially we had reserved two rooms and paid full advance for the entire package upfront.
Due to unavoidable circumstance, my friend couldn't accompany us to this holiday and promptly cancelled his reservation. But till date the refund of that reservation hasnt been given (Rs 8700/-).
I am sure if the Management of GRT group looks into all these issue, they will find many more regular and loyal guests.

We noted your concern on the stole not handed over on time which was a mistake due to some communication error between travels and front desk and they have to wait till someone to claim for the same. We had already initiated all corrective measures to improve on communication system between travels and front desk.
Regarding refund of money against cancellation, we received the booking through GSA (Associate Hotels- Delhi) who intimated us about the cancellation but not on refund of money; hence we were having this on credit. However, now the same will be refunded to your friend at the earliest.
Since we are amidst the forest, though we control the monkey movements by all means without hurting them, at times, they come up to the balcony of the room and we keep continuing to control their movements in to the resort.

I checked in to the hotel at around 1230 in the afternoon has we had taken the train from chennai to Salem and avoided the train food we were dead hungry.
The so called buffet had no starters at all and then when we started eating the people from the conference came for Lunch and the whole place was a chaos ...
The quality of the food was very bad and in abt an hour my wife and me started having nauseating feeling and eventually my wife had loose motions and vomiting ....
And when we decided to rest for a while the sheets and the blankets were blood stained which we just couldn't use ..
To top it all the room we had taken was a poolside one and the room was rearranged wonder why and the twin bed had been combined to make a double bed which is not of a star hotel.
The side of the beds were changed to accommodate the beds to joined and the tv was On our right side of which I have a video to prove .
The wifi was promised free but we were unable to connect even after complaining even tough they changed the access point near our room we were unable to connect ..
Last but not the least it was supposed to be a buffet breakfast and when I entered the restaurant it had some breads, 2 cereals and 2 juices and to say the least hard bread and croissants and Donuts , and I was asked to take a main course from the menu and i ordered a dosa a vada and cheese and onion omelette ... It was served cold and the chutney was sour which meant it was stale...
We couldn't take it any longer and decided to leave yercaurd although we had paid in full for 2 days...
It was long awaited holiday turned into a horrendous experience ...l

However, we serve the same spread of complimentary breakfast on the table with the own choice of guests from the menu card.

We stayed for 2 days in the month of Feb '13. GRT Nature trails is extremely well located at the entrance to Yercaud town. It is perched on top of a hill and the views from here are very good. The rooms are well maintained. The staff are extremely courteous and are always eager to help. The rooms with the Panorama view have an excellent sit out balcony. The early morning walk through the coffee plantation (behind the hotel) to a view point is a 2km walk (one way) and is very good and should not be missed. Food is excellent but very expensive. We really enjoyed our stay.
