The staff were lovely but the food was pretty much tasteless and very expensive! The risotto didn’t taste of anything and the steak was tough unfortunately.

For a five star restaurant at a five star hotel, with a renowned chef, it was very disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but not great. It doesn't work the price that is paid. The fish was overcooked, only one waiter for...the whole saloon and if you're a not a guest from the hotel, you'll be last in the queue (45 minutes waiting for the main course). I have a three because it's not an awful experience, but the money could've been well spent somewhere else.More

First of all, the service was great. A lonely waiter run around doing his best to serve all. A very kind and attentive waiter... But... It is not enough... The dinner was good but not unforgettable. I had a great caipirinha.

The place is quite off the road, therefore it never gets too busy. That results that the waiters are very attentive! Food is great and service excellent! I can recommend the fish witg cashew crust, maybe the best dish on the island! Highly recommended, well...worth the trip, you won't be disappointed!More

Service is very good, waiters always worried in keeping you well all the time. Food was nice, I had the tuna almost raw inside, just the way I like, but something was missing for a great experience.More

The restaurant appear to be deasent in a very nice building where everything looks a bit more tidy than normal on this island. Service is very good as the food. Very good standard with real napkins, not only paper that blows away in the wind....Location is ok for dining; then it is dark and you dont miss the sea view.More

I have been living in Brazil for about 9 months and I'm used to seeing regular service for most of places, which is considered as excellent for Brazilian (sorry for being honest). And today, I was so impressed by service so, i decided to write...review for the first time in my life. My husband and I were in this place second time (first was great too) and amongst other dishes we order ceviche, but it was prepared in very local way with a lot of olive oil and coriander, which I hate. So my husband continued eating and I asked the waiter RICARDO about dessert. Regular waiter just would bring the order, however, EXCELLENT one - noticed that I didn't eat, and .... by his choice, he brought for free another one taking into consideration my preferences caught from our conversation. Right after, our table visited chef, very nice person too. I'm completely impessed by this place. Strongly recommend!!!!!More

We went to TriboJu our last evening on Fernando de Noronha. I’ll preface this by saying we had no bad meals during our stay, but this was a pretty high point. Quiet and beautiful dining room; we opted for outdoor seating with the beautiful foliage...and tastefully lit deck. We found the staff really competent with English (not always true) and ordered drinks, food and wine. Drinks were fine; I have learned my lesson - tough to get a great dry vodka martini outside the US so we stuck with island favorites. They have a pretty great wine list and choices were widely varied and inexpensive. South American weighted. We had salads, ceviche and shared a stew. Salad was pretty atypical for our visit - fresh greens and an octopus vinaigrette. It was almost another ceviche. The ceviche was the best on the island. Citrus and chilis, cilantro and great fish. The stew (an island favorite) was awesome. Shrimp are everywhere. These were in a rich broth and great spices. We stuck around for dessert. Tapioca ice cream and a fruit compote. Beautifully presented. This isn’t inexpensive but, hey, it’s cheaper than Manhattan. And the island is just so beautiful. Worth the visit.More
