Had dinner with colleagues while attending a conference at the Hyatt Regency. No cash accepted. Credit debit only. Musical entertainment was fun. Food was ok, I had pulled pork. Service is slow. Stopped at the bar for another drink. Pleasant bar maid who kept reminding...us we can leave her a cash tip.More

The food was just awesome. And I thought my mother in law was the best cook in the south. Listening to the band playing jazz on a Sunday afternoon was the highlight of our trip. If you search jazz clubs in Atlanta this comes up...high on the list.More

We arrived when they opened. It took a few minutes to the server to come over. Finally got water and iced teas. Ordered an appetizer and our entrees. The app was a little late. It was decent. We never got the entrees. I had to...ask someone to check on our food. She came back and said it will be about 15 mins. Nope. We just ordered pork chops and 2 sides. If we’ve been seated in the restaurant for 40 minutes and it’s another 15 minutes, that means either you didn’t put our order in or you cancelled when 2 other couples walked out. You didn’t notice as you kept walking by? Ever again.More

Always enjoy coming here! The ambiance is always great and the service is always. The live music is sooo good. Today i had the Juke’s fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green. Very good 👍🏾 Make sure you check them out.

Long winded review of my experience with this establishment. If you want to know the details read below and if you need the short-form DON’T GO. If you are person like me and you are reading reviews trying to make a decision here is your...answer DON’T GO. I’ll help you and suggest for you to try Ted’s Montana Grill you won’t be disappointed. I stopped by Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint on 9/30/23 a few minutes right before 4:30. This is my first time in Atlanta, GA (I came here for a women’s conference) and decided to explore the downtown Atlanta area. I looked at the website for Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint as well as the information on Google. It looked cute and being an out of towner I like to eat at local eateries and figured I would give this a try. I also saw that the restaurant offered a peach cobbler and was looking forward to eating something peachy since I’m in Georgia. I walked from the Coca-Cola museum up the hill to reach this restaurant. Hot, sweating, and tired I was happy when I finally made it. The happiness stopped suddenly as I walked into that restaurant. There were 3 young ladies at the hostess station that just stared at me when I approached the station. There was no hello, hi, welcome, how can I help you. Because of the very cold exchange I asked if reservations were needed which they responded no. I advised a table would be needed for two which one of the ladies began talking (for me it was mumbling) with her hands in front of her mouth. Because of the mumbling and her hands in front of her mouth I could not understand what she was saying. She clarified what she said and it was something about the amount of time you have at the table and the fee for when the band comes out in the evening if you do not leave before then. Due to the lack customer service and warm friendliness my mother and I left immediately. I didn’t care that I had just walked in the heat, up a hill, and sweating. The atmosphere of the place was awful. Being a out of towner and the area being a tourist attraction area I thought businesses would be more friendly but this is not it. I DO NOT recommend this establishment. The 3 ladies at the hostess station were not professional or welcoming. Nevertheless my mom and I went to Ted’s Montana Grill which had a excellent service and shoutout to the lady at the hostess station that was sweet. Ted’s I would tag you if I could :) but I’ll leave a sweet review on your page. Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint there is nothing sweet about your restaurant. If you are a person like I am and read reviews before going to restaurants and you made it this far let me save you the trip, walk, and disappointment but don’t go here. I can’t comment on the food since I didn’t eat it but the first customer service interaction I had was horrible. DON’T GO HERE! Go to Ted’s Montana Grill.More

This place doesn’t look great but it has a warm welcome. The menu is simple, for appetisers, mains and drinks but there’s something good in that. All wines come by the glass or bottle, there’s a range of cocktails and both draft and bottled beers....We simply walked up and were able to get seated on the front terrace. Our server was delightful and helpful. Service was great and pretty quick. They don’t take cash, only cards.More

Should have known from the start when the host said very unfriendly like 'There's a $5 entertainment fee, we only take credit cards and there's a 2-hour limit on staying at the table.' Should've turned and left. The waitress was even less friendly about their...'no more than 2 checks per table' policy. They were understaffed so EVERYTHING took forever. On top of that, my food was inedible. I got the pulled pork dinner and the pork was previously burnt and served cold and over-salted. At our table of 7, one person got part of their order 15 minutes after the rest of the table and the rest of their order 5 minutes after that. Trying to order a second drink was impossible. The waitress said she would 'help us out' by taking our drink order. That was a mistake because then we had to wait for her to bring those checks when we could have checked out using the QR code. Without even trying to stretch out our time we were there for almost 2 hours. Don't go there unless you want to be disappointed. Or just go for a drink at the bar to hear the music.More

Soul food is nothing something that I normally gravitate to, but boy was I surprised. We order two plates of wings as a starter to share between the three of us. Based on the all the wings we have ever eaten, we thought 16 would...be a nice start. These were not your average size wings, they were huge. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. After the wings I was glad that I had only order a half rack of ribs. Which I will say were just as delicious.More

We were blown away at having such a great music, food, hospitality experience so close to the conference centre. We went for supper and had great chicken and waffles, ribs, collard greens (a first!) and the most excellent mac & cheese. The cocktails were fabulous....The music was insane. We were honoured with Milkshake Mayfield and his band. This was incredible quality that we were reluctant to leave. So, we came back for brunch the next day and again, great experience and wonderful music.More

This place has live music which is nice but it ends there. The ordering is from your phone and the whole experience seems confusing and very impersonal. The food wasn't that special at all. Overall, we were made to feel that we were lucky to...get a table, as if we were annoying the staff by being there and as if this were some exclusive place but nothing about it deserved that!More

I've been here a few times over the years with different groups but everytime I find myself in Atlanta I make sure to eat there.. There is usually a wait (make a reservation ahead of time) but this past visit was on a Wednesday night,...the live music was getting ready to begin and the place was packed. We were quickly seated in the bar area which was fine and we got our menu's all worked out on the phones but the hostess came and took our order. A little glitchy as some of us placed orders already, but she took care of working it all out. There were people waiting and I did feel rushed during our meal, they were bringing the checks before we ordered dessert. The music is always great. The food is SO Good!More

We were prepared for the qr code dining and paying experience and were actually pleasantly surprised by a very attentive hostess, a fabulous server and maybe a manager or owner who was super friendly. The ribs were good, the chicken was plentiful and the fries...and mac/cheese were terrific. The grits were dry, but that was the only food complaint. Yummy local IPA. I really thought I had the app figured out, but it kicked me out when I went to close my tab and ended up having to pay via credit card separately anyway. I think the ordering piece is fine, but the payment piece is a pain and seems unnecessary. The music was terrific and at a nice volumeMore

We ordered take away from this restaurant. The fried chicken was sweet. The collard greens were runny and full of meat. The gumbo was one note - just heat with no flavour. The Mac n cheese was a bit lacklustre. The peech cobbler and the...apple spiced bread pudding were kind of sicky and were soggy by the time we ate them. The highlight for sure was the side of grits but I’m glad I didn’t order a full meal of them as they may have been too rich in a larger quantity. Perhaps the restaurant should not offer take away as it just didn’t seem like the food travelled well the way it was packaged. The service was not very friendly either and they still charged 18% gratuity for take away. Made for an expensive disappointmentMore

You don't have a waitress, all of the menu is on a QR code and pour description of what comes with the meal so you end up ordering sides that you don't need. No waitress and there was an automatic 18% add to the bill,...then we were charged $5 a person after 6:30 Food was average at best.More
