We were wandering around Cedarburg on a cold sunny day and popped in to check it out. We purchased two ciabatta rolls, a couple raisin cinnamon rolls, sesame mini baguette and a Poolish loaf. Perfect crust and crumb in all. Greedy bread-lovers that we are...we had to restrain ourselves not to eat them all at once. Ciabatta rolls are over the moon good. Next day the cinnamon raisin roll that was left was still moist and the crust still crunchy. I did not even add butter. These are master bread makers. You must stop here and enjoy the wonderful people who make and sell this bread. Next time - pastries!More

Everything in this place is outstanding. The peanut butter cookie is a standout must. Also the baguette and the croissant are as good as I have ever had in Paris and definitely the best in the US!!

This is a phenomenal bakery. I’ve traveled throughout Europe, and this bakery is as good as anything you will find in Paris or elsewhere. Everything is made from scratch. And you’ll notice! We tried croissants pain au chocolate, brioche rolls, cross buns (kind of), baguettes,...and other goods. This place also competes with anything Thomas Keller bakes. Who knew that such a bakery exists in Wisconsin!More

Was in Cedarburg for the 4th of July parade. Happened to find a shady spot to watch the parade by the door of Boulangerie Du Monde which was open. Some guy sitting nearby was telling nearly everyone who walked past that they had great peanut...butter cookies so I went in and bought one after the parade ended. It was delicious. One of the best cookies I've ever eaten!More

My husband and I tried the orange gilbassier. This was our first time to visit the bakery, and we weren’t sure what to try. The gilbassier was fantastic! In fact, it was the best baked good that I’ve had in a long time! This will...be a “must stop” every time that we visit Cedarburg!More

Nice selection, worth a stop while in Cedarburg. Breads are displayed in the window though not all were available at the moment we stopped in. We tried the sesame and 7 grain, very fresh and delicious.

Great place to but bread. Bread is as good as the ones you buy in Paris. I usually buy one or 2 loaves and freeze them. Croissants are really good too just way too big for me. I love the place!

I do all my own baking so to find these melt in your mouth pastries baked by someone else, simply divine. Unfortunately it’s closed on Monday so we could only take advantage of it one day. The baguette was so good I ate it on...the way home.More

As a local, I almost want to keep this place a secret. It is that good. The bread and pastries are perfect. We love the driekornbrot--takes me back to traveling in Bavaria.

After a recent early morning appointment, I was looking to treat myself to a pastry, and stumbled on Boulangerie Du Monde. After a minute of trying to choose between all the gorgeous options, I decided to go for quantity and take some home to my...family. The lady who was working the counter recommended the russenzopf, and WOW, am I glad she did. I wasn't familiar with that particular pastry, but it has become a new favorite. The croissants were delicious too, and easily the best I've had this side of the Atlantic. I also picked up a loaf of pain de campagne, which was also quite good. Can't wait for my next visit.More

This French bakery (you will not find donuts) has wonderful breads, muffins, croissants , and grandma quality turnovers. On Saturday mornings they do a great ham and cheese croissant.

We have been to Cedarburg 3 times, and this is the first time we stopped in. What took us so long? Like a kid in a candy shop! The selection is amazing, and the taste even more so!
