Decided to stop in while passing by. Should have just kept on driving. Terrible! Can't believe they are in business.

Joe's Italian is a traditional, southern-Italian style restaurant with excellent food. All the food is very fresh and tasty. I enjoy their food. We pass through frequently on the way to Fredericksburg; it's right on Route 17. The staff is very attentive.
My wife and I stopped in for lunch on Saturday since we were in the area. Very few customers ( only one other table occupied besides ours) and the service was poor. My wife ordered the linguini with clams and I had lasagna. My wife...took one bite of her linguini and spit it out! The sauce was watery and there was so much garlic she couldn't eat it. When the waitress finally came by she asked what was wrong and my wife told her. She could have cared less. We asked for the bill and was charged full price for the linguini she didn't eat. When I questioned it the waitress said "I brought what you ordered, you have to pay for it." When I protested that it wasn't fit to eat and none of it was eaten, she repeated, " I brought you what you ordered, you have to pay for it." Avoid this place at all costs !More
I have eaten here three times. One pizza, one spaghetti, and one veal. Prices okay. Sauces a bit sweet. Hooka bar there now ... Not for me.
We entered the restaurant at 12:45 perfect for lunch and we were the only customers, that should have been our first clue. The bathrooms were locked to keep people off the street from using them, they should do that with the front doors! We were...constantly batting at flies during our meal.More
We stopped here on our way home from vaca. Ordered pizza, salad, & a sub. It was delicious & our waitress was great. Will stop again.
My husband has bought pizza from Joe's for the last 35 years. He feels it is the best. He also is a big fan of their calzones. I miss the simple duluxe pizza with everything on it. He has gone to speciality pizzas.
We enjoyed our stay and the food was delicious and not too expensive. Veal Parm and Chicken in Lemon Wine sauce came to $36. This included one bowl of bread and a salad for each of us. I will say that the service was bad......we waited for about 35 minutes before we got our entrees and we were literally the only ones in there. The atmosphere would've been just average except for the fly paper hanging everywhere which drops it to a two. There were also some hidden charges, we asked for "water" and we were given Dasani water at $1.75 apiece. We asked for an extra plate of bread and were charged $2. Not a big deal but it was still a surprise. Still, I can't deny that the food was pretty good. Will probably eat again, but carry-out.More
Just passing through and looking for some place to eat. The GPS pointed Joe's Italian Restaurant out to us, so we took a chance. We were pleasantly surprised! Well decorated and maintained atmosphere, service was polite and efficient, our combo pizza came quickly, and it...was very good! The only critical observation I would make, is that there was no uniformity in dress, and the extra casual dress of our wait-staff didn't match the decor/atmosphere. That aside, it was a very nice surprise! Looking forward to stopping in, again!More
I had the eggplant sub and it was FRESH eggplant. You never find that anywhere. You would be hard pressed to find anything you do not like at this restaurant.
This place is AMAZING! We were so pleased to find this place. The atmosphere was pleasant and clean and inviting. The service was great, friendly and welcoming. The food was off the charts! Well worth the drive off of the main highway. Thank you everyone...at Joe's Restaurant for a wonderful experience. Wish we had you way up North in the Adirondacks! :)More
