The food was excellent, portions are small as should be expected for Tapas. The grilled shrimp, scallops and salads were delicious. Our service friendly, but very slow and orders were mixed up several times. One person at our table waited 40 min's for her meal....I don't drink and drive. Asked for something non-alcoholic, I was told they had nothing! Really, no N/A beer, a Mocktail? Saved a bit of money drinking only water, missed opportunity.More

Service was extremely slow….portions extremely small and very expensive. If you have any allergies make such you double check everything.Had a very bad experience with an item that had nuts. Reported this to manager and he could have cared less. Never came over to check...if the young boy was alright. There are many other restaurants nearby….give them a try…they list known allergens and waitstaff also asks.More

We had a wonderful meal there. One of the best meals I've had in a long time I recommend everything that we got we had the potato leek soup that was probably my least favorite, but still very good. We had the scallops with three...different sauces, which was great. My filet mignon tapas was unbelievably good they Pittsburgh, just the way I like and also the potato wedges were delicious. The only not totally positive comment I have is our server didn't seem to be exactly on track, but he did OK. I will definitely eat here again over and over.More

Light dinner was in order the night I visited this establishment. Although I arrived within 30 minutes of their closing time, they were courteous and did not give me a feeling of being rushed to get out. I enjoyed the salmon dinner.

This is a nice, spacious room with a small seating area outside (too hot to consider on the night I was there). Good cocktail menu. I had a Bramble (gin, lemon and creme de cassis) which was delicious. The food is billed as tapas, which...in theory means they should be small servings so one person would order two or three. (But of course in practice they're often designed to be shared by a table full of people.) I had the G&V salad (mixed greens, gorgonzola, almonds, macerated strawberries) = very good, and reasonable size. Then a special of littleneck clams which was fabulous. They were in a lemony, herby, garlicky broth that was just delicious. Nice grilled ciabatta to soak up the broth. My second tapa (is that the singular?) was good too, but just too big and rich at that point: Spicy Shrimp Gambas, shrimp in a stew of bacon, garlic and tomato. There were about eight shrimp there. Perfect for a group to share! They have a good wine list by the glass, and you can also order a half glass of wine, or a flight of three related wines. My waiter was pleasant but just didn't know how to be a waiter. Repeatedly he ignored me when I was trying to catch his eye because I needed something. Not that he was being rude, he was just oblivious. Hostess was very nice.More

Very happy I stayed a little further downtown and was a quick walk to Gervais. Tapas choices were excellent and the food and service was Devine. Had more courses than expected and would do it again.

When I mentioned an upcoming weekend trip in Columbia, some co-workers mentioned G&V experience from several years back. We made sure we'd give it a try while in town. Get reservations on the outside deck if possible. One potential downside is the restaurant 30 feet...across the sidewalk (Twin Peaks)...which has a different kind of clientele. Even with a pandemic-reduced menu, there were still plenty of options, both food and drink, to keep you satisfied. Our group of four opted for a variety of small plates to accompany the wine. Everything was delicious and the wait staff was very good. Recommended.More

Thank you for having Apollo and I. The food was awesome, service was awesome, and your warm welcome was awesome. I loved the goat cheese plate. But as stated to the server, it was be even more awesome if deconstructed and not melted. Regardless. You...guys we so accommodating. I know you don't need to bring service dogs water, but you did as we sat. Sure he didn't touch it, but it was nothing against your water, he is taught not to touch stuff when working. I so recommend this place. In a few more months I will be back to downtown, and this will be the to go place!More

Eating at a Tapas Restaurant is almost always a crap shoot. This one was an absolute bullseye. The dishes we ordered were truly well prepared, with the duck absolutely outstanding. The servings (considering the fact that it was a tapas place) were generous, and one...after the other was extremely tasty. The noise level was moderate and so we could chat while we ate. I'll definitely return.More

This was our first time at Gervais & Vine. We've been wanting to try it and since they were participants in Restaurant Week, we gave it a go. It was truly a lovely dining experience! Every dish was unique and yummy in it's own way....We had two very attentive folks taking care of us. So sorry I do not remember their names. We are already friends with Laurel, one of the owners, and she made sure we had a lovely dining experience, to include coming by our table to check on us.More

First off, I was warned by the waitress ‘tapas’ means ‘small plates’ but was told it’s fair pricing. I ordered: -Seared salmon with roasted red pepper coulis and honey yogurt $10. what that means is a red smear topped with a thin piece of raw...salmon the size of a finger on a few pieces of garnish and a dollop of yogurt. The outside of the salmon looked cooked but the inside was clearly raw. -Martin Codax “ergo” Tempranillo wine from Spain $8.50 for 5oz -Dessert: Walnut honey & date bread pudding with hazelnut gelato $7. The gelato was really good. Dessert portion was easily for two but I ate the whole thing because my entree was tiny and included no sides. The pudding was ok... it had obviously been way over heated so half of it was super hard and chewy. Overall the portion was inconsistent and the quality was low for the price. The reason I bumped it up to 3 star is because the waitress was friendly and described the food in a way that made me really want to try it. Also, a guy NOT my waiter filled my water glass up twice without me asking. I think that’s wonderful. Customer service was great.More
