I have been coming to Hazleton on business for many years and have tried other places, but nothing comes close to Martin's. This truly is a gourmet chef at work and the atmosphere is chill with the walls covered with original art by Martin's wife....There is no where else to go for an excellent meal. The only thing is to bring your own alcoholic beverage if you wish to have one.More

My husband and I went to Martin's to celebrate our anniversary. Couldn't have chosen a better place! Everything was perfect! Atmosphere, ambience, food and service! We had the mushrooms stuffed with crab meat for an appetizer ~Oh my goodness!!! The creamy blue cheese dressing and...house salad were delicious! I couldn't decide between the Filet Mignon and Tavern Crab Saute and our server, Molly, suggested I add crab meat over the filet mignon. Perfect! The filet was perfectly Medium as I ordered it. Mashed Potatoes and green beans were good too. After all that, we couldn't imagine not trying a dessert, so we got the Peanut Butter Pie to go. We were not disappointed! If we're ever back in the area, we will definitely be back.More

This is a very small local restaurant that we almost missed because my husband was taken with the dinner menu and when he found out the lunch menu was different he did not want to go. We ended up there anyway and the food was...great, reasonably priced and unlike most US restaurants, the portion size was perfect.More

Right on a Main Street in a former monks’ tap room this byob is a great spot for locally grown produce & chef cut steaks done to perfection. Lump crab is the real thing Done simply. Desserts are from same chef. A true “find.”

Do not be fooled by the less than exciting exterior, this is a really nice place inside. Large spacious, high ceilings well appointed with original paintings. And sound absorbers make for an excellent setting. And.. the food matches! We started with clams drizzled with a...oriental black bean sauce, and nice simple app. For dinner the lady had pecan-crusted orange roughy, and I had the crab meat 'tavern' dish. Both excellent, including the sides. Portions are not huge, but a very nice salad is included. Very easy to recommend you go.More

We went there for Mother’s Day and menu was limited to a few dinners. I had salmon in lemon dill sauce. Very good. Portions were decent. All sides for that day were mashed potatoes and green beans. I don’t know what options are normally. Prices...are expensive. Service was good.More

Martin's brunch (Sundays only) is not only exceedingly delicious, it's also a bargain. If you enjoy Eggs Benedict, Martin's is the best. Wonderful atmosphere, surrounded by art work by the dhef's wife and co-owner and courteous, attentive service.

There are many reasons why this restaurant is rated #1 in the Hazleton Area. The food! The food! Omg! Fresh, savory, delicious! I had the chicken franchaise and it was so good! Started out with the famous clam chowder- hands down, the best clam chowder...I’ve ever eaten. My guy had the crab cake sandwich, I’m not a fan of crab cakes because usually there are too many red/green peppers or over seasoned- or there is way too much filler.. etc. well, these crab cakes, there is just too much jumbo lump to find the breading!! Outstanding flavor balance! Can’t wait to get a crab cake dinner platter to savor this great entree’. They make all desserts on premises, flourless chocolate cake, lemon tart.. both not too sweet and marvelous texture! Yum! I think we found our favorite place to date!More

We went here for lunch after our first choice was closed because of a fire. The is a small place with a limited but eclectic menu. I had the soup special of borscht with a roll. It was full of vegetables and good tastes. My...husband had the salmon patty which was also great and served with a wonderful horseradish sauce. For dessert we shared a flourless chocolate cake. It’s was a great way to end a really nice lunch. It’s not that far off the highway if you are driving through like we were.More
