Went to Pioneer Square for a lunchtime concert. Grabbed lunch and sat on the steps. Food was fresh and quick. The sauce on the bowl had a bit of a bite but was nicely balanced by the creamy avocado. Loved it!

When looking for a lunch spot in Portland with my vegetarian daughter we stumbled on the Whole Bowl. Delicious combination of healthy ingredients and quick service. Downside? Its a food cart, and it was raining. . . solution? Pop into the Starbucks next door and...get a coffee to go with your bowlMore
I've been going to Whole Bowl for a number of years and look forward to a meal there. I like the small choice! and my only criticism is they're food carts have such limited hours.
I can't say enough about how great these bowls are! The ingredients are so fresh. This is one of my favorite places for lunch!
Def recommended eating here. This was literally so good and the lady who made it explained everything. Perfect for vegetarians and vegans!! I will go here again.
And fast and inexpensive. Tasty sauce does it. I skipped the rice and rather than get a smaller amount they made up the volume in more tasty beans. I would get more avocado if I knew how good it was; the cart had an assortment...of hot sauces to doze things in if you wanted a incendiary meal.More
It is easy to fine Good Affordable food in Portland thanks to Food Carts. An instant favorite during my visit was The Whole Bowl. For $6 (Bambino Bowl) or $6.50 (Big Bowl) you can savor a healthy, and flavorful bowl of veggie goodness. At lunch...time, the lines can be long and for good reason-Their meals are that good! I ordered the Bambino which was satisfying filling. They can also "veganize" your bowl (minus the cheese & sour cream). Wish The Whole Bowl was in my city!More
This is one of my favorite lunches in the area. It's a big bowl of goodness: filling, satisfying and addictive!
This food cart has great vegan options that taste amazing and a very friendly staff. Some downfalls; doesn't have great hours, only one menu option (although it's amazing), and the long lines. Still great food.
There is one choice,a terribly fresh rice and beans bowl topped with all the best ingredients. This is one of the nicest food carts in Portland but you need to catch the NS streetcar line to find it around noon to two.
My very favorite food cart. There is always a line, so it may take a minute but we'll worth the wait! I get the bowl with everything; the sauce is what makes it amazing.
They only serve one thing but it's satisfying and a tasty, health lunch. If you aren't a big eater, the large size is still a great deal and there are leftovers, to boot.
What a great way to get a meal! Rice, beans, avocado, tasty and healthy...complete nutrition in one bowl... this is the best fast food I can imagine...
When my husband suggested that we visit a food cart for lunch that was parked in front of an organic furniture store I was a little skeptical, however, it was a really good lunch. I got a small bowl and couldn't finish it, if I...find my way back to downtown Portland again, I would definitely go back.More
Addictive bowls, long lines on nice days speak to popularity of this cart. Best buy is likely the Big Bowl, but it's huge --- the Bambino bowl is $1 less but is more than enough.
