This review is for the British shop. They had a wonderful selection of food and gifts at Christmas. Very happy to get frozen roast potatoes and frozen Yorkshire pudding‘s as well as chocolate for friends. Very nice lady at the register. Met other British friends...in the store!More

This review is for the shop the British Marketplace Place which is next to the tea room. It is now under new ownership and the new owner is very nice. Prices seem to have gone down a little and the store is better organized. There...are some wonderful updated items in the freezer including Yorkshire pudding’s, roast potatoes, and sausages. All the food in the shop has good sell by dates which it didn’t always under the previous ownership. Highly recommended for any Anglophiles or British shoppers!More

Its a bit hard to find, but the food was "spot on" and delicious. However, we were the only people in the place and service was still extraordinarily slow. Our main issue, aside from the service is the self imposed "service charge", which when asked...is basically a 20% tip willfully placed on your bill! We understand in most of Europe the fee is automatic, but we are in the U.S. and tipping is meant as an expression of service received, which as stated before, wasn't good, definitely not 20% good. We had it removed and left her an "appropriate" tip for service. No where on the menu or in the tea house is the "service fee" mentioned until the bill is received.More

Was a very different experience from most Bridal Showers I have gone to. I was pleasantly surprised by the décor and atmosphere of the "TEAROOM" It was quaint and very nice. The food & service was very good. Tea was excellent! Would love to go...back again, if ever in the area. I live out of state.More

My review is purely for the British gift shop in front of the tea room, not for the tea room itself. I have been coming here for years but had not been here for about 18 months since I live 60 miles south. Store employees...are very nice, helpful and friendly. I came in to get a Union Jack license plate for a friend's car which of course they had in stock. While there I wanted to get a few bags of crisps and candy, as well as some groceries however some of the items in the store are past their sell by date, so I really had to dig around to find ones that had not expired. That is my only complaint about the store - that they do not go through the merchandise and pick out the items that have expired and maybe they could put them in a special bin and charge half price for them or something along those lines? However I am still grateful to have somewhere in South Florida where I can buy British items. Their Big Ben Bangers ( sausages) are delicious!More

Celebrated my cousin's birthday as a party of four. It was a very lovely spot for such a celebration. The service was outstanding, as well as the food and prices. There is a decent range of options to meet your needs. We enjoyed the traditional...high tea at a reasonable price. We will definitely come back to celebrate another special occasion.More

I went here on my birthday and they where gracious enough to open up just for us! They were so accommodating and pleasant. We started by choosing our accessories to wear: hats, scarves, pearls, gloves, etc. which was then followed the tea (so many choices)...and the food courses (this depends on the level you choose). It was a fun and unique experience... and of course, "my cup of tea"More

We go someplace every year in December and have gone to the British Tea Room for many years plus sometimes another place. Our tea this year was terrible. The bread for the sandwiches had no taste and the sandwiches were paper thin so you could not...taste the food. Cucumber sandwich, Tuna salad and Turkey. All bland and no taste. The scones out of the freezer and were all plain and small. No seconds on anything. Apple pie if you want this at a tea which I do not and what looked like a store bought red velvet cupcake very unappetizing and worst of all teabags on the table. We paid each $33 including tax and tip and there are far better places so we won't be back. Years ago it was wonderful but the lady passed on who made the scones and the ladies were nice and offered us seconds. Not this time. The bread is in bags and just kept there for whenever. They have no imagination re sandwiches, scones tiny and unimpressive but were okay tasting and hardly any clotted cream or jams. What a rip off.More

After spending 45 minutes on the phone with you and a further 45 minutes in my shop where you produced endless papers comparing us to "The Ritz". I could see there was nothing I could do to satisfy your reason for complaints. I did however...More

Today we had a birthday tea party which wasn't anything special. Having traveled all over going to Tea Places locally and in Europe, I found this venue to be lacking in service as well as offering in comparison to places in Wilton Manors and Miami....When it's your birthday, a piece of cake or at least a candle would be nice. There was no acknowledgement whatsoever. Tea pots were not left on the table initially and one type was poured when we arrived that was not our choice. A very tiny piece of quiche with a little salad was the beginning of our meal. No choice given as to type and I do not like bacon in my quiche. The service was slow and lacking. We asked for honey twice and since it was a very tiny amount for 7 people we had to ask for more. The scones served with the delicious sandwiches were very cold and tasted like they had been frozen. The salad plate size of little desserts and cookies was unimpressive and cold. You don't get much bang for the money here nor do they stick to the online menus that you pay for. We won't be back.More

My daughter had her Bridal shower here. It was a fabulous day. We chose the Royal High Tea which was perfect. They were very accommodating with a couple of our guests that were Gluten free. The two ladies were very attentive and helpful. The room...was decorated to our request and everyone enjoyed the dressing up in the hats etc and having fun taking pics. My daughter had a wonderful day and would like to thank the staff for making it special. Would highly recommend to any future bride.More
