My wife and I ordered take-out on a rainy Sunday. ( actually rainy weekend and today is Monday and still raining - - any who) We ordered a combo-plate; scallops and whole belly clams along with shrimp cocktail and fried pickles. Some of the best...fried seafood I've ever had. The fried pickles were great and a HUGE portion as well !!More

The lobster roll was very tasty and the fried oysters were delicious. I highly recommend them. The restaurant was small but very clean and the staff was excellent.

Nice casual atmosphere, clean, super friendly wait staff. Unfortunately, though, the accolades stop there. I went for lunch with a friend. We each got a small ("lunch") order of fried whole belly clams and a soft drink. The food was average, portions very small, the...soft drink was very small, and the bill came to $80!!! Yes, EIGHTY DOLLARS for a quick, casual, small lunch for two! I realize the price of seafood is up these days, but this is insane! Sorry, but I'll never return.More

Wonderful food and service at the Blue Lobster seafood and market. We passed it driving through Connecticut and wanted lobster bisque. It did not disappoint. Wonderful full menu. Cindy the manager was a joy.

We stopped here and had an excellent lobster role. We got the buttered ones instead of the ones with mayonnaise. We were happy to be able to sit outside. Lady at the counter was very nice.

We haven't been here in years (it is a bit out of the way for us). We had a chance to try it again recently and were pleased that it still very good. It looks like they have updated the interior and it looks nicer...than we remember. The service was very friendly. We ordered a lobster role and a stuffed clam. The lobster role was a good size and very good and my wife enjoyed her clam. The cole slaw was very good. The fries were just ok. The prices were reasonable.More

Last Sunday, in the last half hour of your work week, you greeted us in the friendliest manner. One would have thought we were old friends. The warmth of all staff was delightful. The two fish and chip dinners with refillable beverages were out of...this world FRESH! And we were surprised at the large portion sizes. Everything tasted soooo good. Even the tartar sauce and coleslaw were delicious! You treated us very special. Thank you for the memorable meal sitting near the entertaining koi fish pond.More

We ordered two lobster rolls and they were amazing. The lobster was very fresh and plentiful. The side of fries and cole slaw were a nice complement to the lobster roll. I can’t wait to go back.

We were traveling through Connecticut and randomly looked for a place to eat off I-91. Blue Lobster hit the perfect note for the start to our New England getaway. We had perfectly prepared (and generous portions) of fish and chips (sweet potato fries) and fried...shrimp with fabulous onion rings. Great service and the food was reasonably priced.More

(Last visited 7/21/2021.) I ride past this place ALL the time heading to various places since it's located right on the southbound side of the Berlin Turnpike. Bae said we needed to try this place "someday". Today is that day... here's how it went... Atmosphere/Appearance:...Like I mentioned earlier, this place is set right on the southbound side of the Berlin Turnpike for everyone to see! There's a decent sized private parking lot and round driveway with 2 entrances/exits for convenience. There's also a lovely outdoor section lined with umbrellas to hang out at during the warmer months. The inside offers a bit of an "at sea" or "at the pier" type of vibe with lots of light colors, light woods and white walls. It's fairly straightforward though. I wanted to take my food back to the crib with me so I ordered to go. Service: Pam took care of me and she was awesome. She was really sweet, answered all of my questions with confidence and just made sure I had a good experience even if it was a short one. Food: So I got Bae and I 2 Jumbo CT Lobster Rolls with side orders of sweet potato fries. The CT lobster roll is one that's served warm and with melted butter. That's the ONLY way to go! None of that cold mayonnaise lobster salad stuff. (That's called Maine style at this restaurant.) The lobster rolls also come in 2 sizes. Regular and Jumbo. Now I don't know weights, amounts or anything like that, but I can tell you that the sandwiches we had were STUFFED with lobster. The sandwich was so heavy and lobster was just spilling out all over the place whenever I took a bite! It was deliciously warm, juicy, fresh and just incredible. Lobster rolls really are a treat whenever I get to have them. The sweet potato fries were okay, but for what they costed they should've been better or at least come with some sort of dipping sauce to complement them. But... for how much this meal costs. I can't eat there every day. Value: Alright... ready for this? This is the single most expensive sandwich I've ever purchased. The total for 2 jumbo lobster rolls with sweet potato fries was $90.17 after taxes. Wow. Just, wow. That's fine-dining prices right there. So let's back up a bit. Before taxes it was $84.00. FOR TWO SANDWICHES AND FRIES. Lol. Let's back up some more. Sweet potato fries are an additional $6.00 per sandwich. So subtract $12.00 for that total and now we're down ti $72.00 for 2 freaking lobster rolls. That "MP" on the menu will get you. Lol. So, $36.00 for the juiciest, warmest and pretty damn delicious lobster roll is a bit steep, but... that's why I don't do this everyday. Lol. To each their own. In conclusion, I kinda went on a bit of a tare there at the end, but the food is worth it. It's just a bit of sticker shock and yes, I knew what I was paying before I placed the order. I just had to try this place and I'd absolutely pay that again! In fact, I plan to, very soon so that I can feature them on The Hungry Road! Been a customer for many years, Has the old school chowder pot taste, especially the onion rings. Problem is as of the las 5 months or so they pile in the fries on the platters and less of the main item like scallops, I don’t...mind paying a premium but for fries is rather cheesy, I should take pictures, sorry I haven’t, half the fries end up in the trash, otherwise it’s the same food but less of it, kinda sadMore
