Nice place, in a nice part of the city, good service and the original Beijing Duck, for a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend it if you want to have the Chinese experience

I just cannot wrap around how good Beijing duck is. If you are near Forbiden city take a small walk to Dashilan Street (where there are a lot of shops and resturants) and you will be served fast. The duck is delicious, the prices are...reasonable and staff is friendly. Just ask for Béijīng Kàoya and they will know.More
Oh my gooood, so perfect!!! After stroll around Temple of Heaven we ended up here - the Temple of Food Heaven! In only 2 persons we were able to eat (almost) whole portion of the duck :D Yummy!! Recommend to all!
My husband and I have been eating at this restaurant for the past 14 years . It’s great . All the dishes are high quality. The bad thing : they used to have the fried potato dish any longer , other than that everything is...great . Some of the best duck dishes and their corn and pine nuts are very delicious.More
A group of 4 were staying at the Doubletree Hilton and asked the staff to recommend a local Peking Duck restaurant. Only 10 minutes walk away we went there for dinner, we were not disappointed. We ordered a complete Duck and all the trimmings; pancakes,...sauce, onion etc. Also a Beef dish, Pak Choi and some beers. The presentation of everything was excellent and the carving of the duck by the chef was very entertaining. the waitress also served us a pancake each as part of the service. After stuffing ourselves we went to pay and were astonished that the bill was RMB100 each including tip ! If I return to Beijing and stay in the Xicheng area I will visit this place again.More
This restaurant is top class. The area is amazing at night , the decor is fantastic and especially that you can view the kitchen just add to the experience. The staff was very helpful and could speak English. Made us feel so welcome especially when...they showed us how to make and fill the bread with duck and fold it. The duck was excellently prepared and was so tasty. If you want o enjoy roast duck in Beijing this is the place to go to!More
we had seen reviews of this place and made the effort to find it, and it was well worth it. Definitely a favourite of the locals who queue up and wait for tables. Didn't see any other tourists at all. We went in just after...5pm and got a table before the queues arrived. Very little english spoken, but from the pictures we could order the duck that we came for. Amazing. We will remember it forever. Such a huge duck, (that we couldn't finish) cooked to perfection, what a taste, with all the pancakes etc., and not expensive. We had heard about the duck in Beijing and weren't disappointed.More
Tuesday 3rd of September, lunchtime. Busy but no queues, we did not have to wait too long to be served. Excellent Peking duck, we had one duck for two people. I can only say it was by far the best one I ever had. The...price was reasonable.More
Shared a roasted duck amongst three of us and were very impressed at how tasty it was! All thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Service was slightly chaotic at times but added to the experience. Also returned another night for a quick take away and enjoyed their...other non-duck options. Would recommend!More
Lovely friendly service from a nice lady who spoke just enough English. Even helped Pip one night with her cauliflower dish "No meat, little spicy" Everything we had on two visits was very nice, and arrived together at the table. Busy but didn't have to...wait too long either time. Menu has english on it, and translations didn't seem too ridiculous Clean toilets tooMore
Went with a large group so got to try a lot. Peking Duck was very fatty. I've had it numerous time and this was a 2-star duck. One beef and bean dish was overseasoned with 5-spice. They forgot to bring us one dish we ordered....It oly fot 3 stars because it was so cheapMore
Experience today 27th Jul 2019 I've had better duck in Guilin - which is saying something. Disappointing experience (because this space is raved about online) - but there are better places - which I'm currently on the hunt for. This can definitely not be my...Peking duck experience in BJ. Please do yourself a favour and don't believe the hype. Think it was helped by the fact Leo hostel is close by - so convenient for a lot of people. Found the meal and service lacking.More
The first night we went for the duck and it did not disappoint. However, we did find that it was way too much for two people, especially when they give you a massive bowl of meat that they did not cut off the bones. The...staff spoke a bit of English and there is a MASSIVE picture menu to help with your order. The second night we ordered a fried rice with onion pancakes and black pepper beef dish. It was also really good and well priced. Arrive early if ordering the duck and if you don't want to wait for a table (5:30)More
There are many good review but I think it's because they never eat roasted duck in Vietnam First - Price: about 50 yuan for a Duck in Việt Nam Second The duck is so fat, so much fat, make me shiver every time I think...about it, so scary we didnt finish the dusk and dont take the left over because I will not eat dusk in Beijing ever again, you come to Viet Nam and ask for Van Dinh(vân đình) dusk you know how a good dish of roasted dusk taste likr They also do not good at English, and dont try their best to understand usMore
Wow we had such a great lunch feast in this restaurant. I expected a tourist restaurant but I was pleasantly suprised there were so many locals eating here. The food was outstanding and I will rerturn here.
