Wow. I have died and gone to food heaven. Gambas aghillo folloed by the juciest, most tender and succulent steak EVER. I am still salivating. Just a mazing.

One of the advantages of the Varanda do Lima is the free parking right outside. It is situated right next to the old bridge, which gives the town its name. The food and service are good. The house wine is good too. It is perhaps...a little more expensive than the majority of restaurants in the area.More
We stopped in for lunch and sat outside with our pups, and enjoyed a prato of leitão (roast pork) and homemade batatas fritas, plus salad and bread, and half carafes of wine plus coffee--all for 13,20 for the two of us. Friendly service and hearty...food, with a nice view of the river (through the parking lot). A nice stop on our journey.More
This is a very low key restaurant. We went to a cafe next door with little dining space and they pointed us to this restaurant. The food was great (although there's no English menu and we used some guessworks and google translate). We had the...lobster rice which came extremely big portion and was sooooo good with at least one full lobster included! We also ordered the steak house style and pork chops. Both came as large portions and very yummy. We also got some grilled squids which was again excellent! Good service overall too. A surprising find! We would love to come back to try their suckling pig!More
We were here in late July, 2016 during a week long festival. Our son who is familiar with the area took us to this restaurant though it looked pretty busy. He said, "we'll have a bit of a wait because this is festival week, but...it will be worth it. I don't remember what the other 3 persons ate (too much excellent wine), but I had tranças da barca (braids of barca). You must try this beef dish. The Portuguese really know how to pasture raise beef (and pork) from conception to your plate. In addition to the fine food, the waiter was just attentive enough to make us happy without interrupting the festivities. Highly recommended!More
From time to time I enter Northern Portugal at Lindoso and this is a great place to stop for lunch. The food is good and the service good and attentive. There is unlimited prking outside by the river Lima. We had very good hake and...squid this time, but have enjoyed many different dishes in the past. The decor is a little sad.More
First time at this restaurant and was very pleased. Food was great, and price was reasonable. Would definitely go back.
