Can’t explain how disappointed we were eating here last night. I have been once before and had the steak pie which was so nice, so recommend to friends. We drove 40 mins to have a meal here. Absolutely terrible! Table was so sticky the waitress...commented that she was struggling to pick up our chopping boards (what the food was served on) our glasses were sticking to the table. We were late being seated at our table, we then picked out food and 2 of us picked steak pie. The waitress came back almost 2 mins later and said there was only one steak pie left. I then had to choose very quickly and picked the chicken and avocado burger. It came out, and it was very odd looking - cut into it and it was just all pink and rubbery inside - there was a thick vein running through it that you couldn’t even cut! The salad was very wet and no avocado on it! The bread was stale and the bottom part eas soaking wet and mushy. The chicken batter was dripping it dark oil and the chips were terrible, very dry thin little fries. Another 2 ppl had the biggen burger which again, dripping with oil and the hash brown was so burnt and oily. The burgers were cold. Then, to my amazement… after we finished eating another couple sat down next to us and browsed the menu, I heard them ask for steak pie and the SAME waitress never said anything to them? I thought that was odd seen as they have no steak pie? Then, 10 mins later they are brought 2 steak pies with mash! I couldn’t believe it! They had arrived a good 40 mins after us, browsed the same menu and picked the pie! If you’re going to lie to customers, at least make sure you don’t sit them next to the ones you’ve lied to! One of our party who had pie, said it was very nice at first but then found lots of burnt pieces in it and the pastry was soggy inside. We were so hungry by this point that we had to eat - it was almost 8.15 (7.15 table). I didn’t eat mine apart from some of the chips and a bit of the bread. Photo attached!More

Good meal out, reasonably priced. You do have to wait a bit but this is probably because its fresh. Recommend the loaded tattertots, large portion and tasty.

We have stayed at the Adam and Eve several times in the last year or so and normally all has gone well . This trip started ok and ended with a disappointing bit of chaos . In recent times it became unnecessary to preorder breakfast.... On this visit we were advised breakfast was to be a buffet breakfast served from 7:30am onwards . As we are a bit fussy on people messing with the food, we decided to get there for the start of breakfast . We got to the breakfast area at 7:35 am , where it was apparent by the lack of any warm food on the hot plate that despite at least four in the kitchen they were totally unprepared. I know it was 7:35 as I heard some member of staff say in exclamation at our arrival it’s only 7:35 sounding almost indignant we had arrived to eat . In any event the young lady in the dining area was very pleasant , apologetic and advised they would prepare something hot , I asked for some sausage and a couple eggs. These arrived at 7:48am , the eggs were greasy and the sausage were tasteless . I had the eggs with a crusty bun from the buffet . I noted the hot food came out in one item every 5 minutes or so and that it wasn’t until 8:08am as we were leaving the hot part of the buffet was finally out . To be honest I think the place was more interested in preparing for outside customers arrival than for room guests. We left and feel this was nothing but poor service for paying guests. Having a 150mile drive home I found the lack of a decent breakfast took its toll and I had to stop for something to eat . I am sure no one cares but I have got it off my chest !More

After our previous visit, today we gave the venue a mid-week try, after our Sunday lunch previous visit. Pub was very clean, staff plenty and helpful. the food was great and massive portions, 3 real ales all on top form. Still a little expensive, but...the portions make it good value. The footfall was a good sign the pub is very popular.More

Our first visit since renovation - it is well decorated and comfortable. We are local and popped in on a Monday night without booking. Despite two thirds of the tables being empty we were told there would be a 20 minute wait. So we stood...at the bar. After 30 minutes we asked to see a menu and ordered. By now even more of the tables were empty - so we asked if there was a problem with us sitting at one! The food when it finally arrived was ok. The issue seems to be just one person working in the kitchen and food being slow coming out. Goodness knows what it would be like if busy!More

This is a bit of a conundrum, Sunday Lunch, pub great, White Rat beer delicious, Red wine drinkable, but Sunday Lunch, reasonable selection, we went for Beef, I generally don't mind plated Sunday dinners, but what I object to is having the gravy put on...for me and not being given the choice, but beside that, everything on the plate was delicious ( particularly the gravy, but let me decide where I want it). But and there's always a but, running underneath the lunch was an enormous carrot, I don't mind Al dented but this was raw and all of us( 10) struggled slicing that carrot as it was hard, and let the meal down. But, don't let that put you off visiting as the staff and the place in general is well worth a visit. Carrot and gravy aside 4 out 5More

Don’t think this is the best restaurant in Wragby even though it’s the only one!!! Think it would close if the local Kebab shop and Chippy put tables outside. Run by incompetent staff, and owned by people who open/close as they desire. Much much better...food just a short drive away…..More

Lovely pub, great atmosphere which wasn’t too loud. Food absolutely fantastic. The steak and ale pie was the best I’ve ever had, plenty of meat and fantastic flavours. The service was also second to none and they couldn’t do enough for us. There was also...a good range of draft lagers/ales available. We will definitely be returning!p pmMore

Superb food and even more superb service. Megan was an absolute superstar. We were so impressed with the ambiance and even more impressed with Megan’s menu advice . All the food that came out looked delicious and very nicely presented. We went last minute on...the way to a concert at about 6pm. We were lucky to get a table as the place was filling up fast. Clearly we were not the only ones to see how good this place is. Highly recommendMore
