Food good, waiter reluctant to let people into restaurant, ate in bar, others turned away ("restaurant fully booked") - was almost empty. Menu limited (1 starter, 4 mains). Had rack of lamb, twice the portion I usually get, was able to change potatoes (hate puree),...sauce good. Asparagus (starter) cooked to a T. Didn't have pudding. Wine choice virtually non-existent!More

New chef, new meny and its excellent. Had the lamb there, and its with out a doubt the best lamb I ever had! The apetizer with fresh fish and citrus/ strawberry (Wierd right?) was also a favourite. Loved it.

Stayed at the hotek and chose to eat dinner in the adjecant restaurant, which always bears some risk of quality since this isn't always first priority for the hotel. Ordered a starter of scallops and fish for main course. The food delivered quickly and service...is good and friendly (very little people in the restaurant though). Adequate portions but no bread as sidedish. The starter was good and the main course too, but fish was a bit overcooked. Total for 2 ciurses, glass wine and coffee about 50 euros, ok for Bergen. If youre hungry and in need for a convenient meal at the hotel this is a good choice.More

Tiny menu, overpriced, long serving delays. Nothing wrong with the food, but not special in any way. Did I mention the slow service? and the high prices?

A tiny, unchanging and unchallenging menu. This exists because it nearly has to. I did not enjoy eating here. The attached bar was comfortable and the barman did his best to be friendly and efficient. he was rushed off his feet at times, as he...seemed to take the restaurant orders too. At one point the chef noticed people queuing at the bar, and just closed the door to the kitchen so he did not have to see us not being servbed.More

Follow the alley off the Bryggen to a bit of history. Lunch or dinner in the courtyard. Sample the small plate options.

The soup and wine that I enjoyed here were both very good.
