Fabulous brown bar on the canal in Amsterdam. Good selection of beers. Tried the Bitteballen and Oud Cheese , both really good and perfect beer snacks. Nice cosy atmosphere .

Our favorite pub in Amsterdam! This place was homey and had a great atmosphere. Come here for a wonderful drink, friendly staff, and the BEST bitterballen in Amsterdam! We wish we could go here every night!
Lovely traditional and very old cafe on the canal side in the Jordaan area very close to the Tulip museum. We just had drinks and soaked up the atmosphere.
Old hop brewery pub on canal in joordan district. Great atmosphere, very friendly service. Decent range of beers and spirits especially a Dutch gin the name which sadly escapes me, might have been Billy’s? Food and bar snacks excellent, we had the home made soups,...pea and the delicious cauliflower soup, bitterballen and toasties. Our fave pub came here several timesMore
Nice atmosphere but service is terrible. Took 15 minutes to place order and at the end of the meal was given $10 less change than was due when paying for the bill. Skip and go somewhere else
perfect spot for a drink ; along the canal and 10min walking from Anne FRANK house ; excellent red wine and tap beer but also "old cheese"
Nice location, with good prices, unfortunately the service is slow, waited for a sandwich and some fried croquettes 30 min.The draft beer is stale and not very cold.Good place but nothing to remember.
The café itself is really beautiful and attractive with nice Stainglass windows. They have seating right along a beautiful side canal, which is very appealing. The food was good, and with a good price, but nothing better or worse than many other options nearby.
Great spot, lovely spot to lunch and watch the world , lots of beers on draft, nice inside and a few tables outside along the canal
This brown bar was cosy, authentic, friendly, and had the best bitterballen I've ever eaten--the Kalfsbitterballen. We also learned the correct way to drink genevre and it was delicious. Service was excellent.
Wonderful brown cafe. Buzzy and clearly much patronised by local people, as well as tourists. Sitting outside is fun, at the junction of two canals, but look for the ledge just inside and perch there for great people watching. Look immediately to the left when...you walk in and on the far wall, next to the end of the bar, is a wide ledge with cushions. Just big enough for two. Park yourself there, order some genever and enjoy.More
the bar is lovely inside but we sat outside by the canal as the weather was great. Very nice service, bittenballen were delicious. Prices reasonable. Excellent location. Great casual place to eat and enjoy the atmosphere of Amsterdam.
This cafe was as advertised on their web site. Quaint little cafe not far from Anne Frank house. We had great local tap beer, wine and many wonderful appetizers. The people were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a place to relax. They even have...board games!More
Great. Fabulous afternoon spent drinking genever and beer on the canal. Great snacks to accompany. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Recommended.
This place is super busy but we got help in getting a place to sit outside, very courteous people who took our orders and served it fast. Would go again to this place for the view and the hospitality.
