Excellent service and phenomenal food. The quality of the bread is incredible and the desserts were out of this world! The Syra red wine was also delicious.
5 - Very nice place with excellent food. It's a typical Spanish cousin but in modern style. Everything was good. The restaurant is located in the city centre, and is quite big
One of the best restaurants in Toledo. Excellent food , service and atmosphere. We had a deer loin, fish and croquettes. All dishes were excellent! Great wine and service too.
We enjoyed two dishes. We had the deer tacos and caramelized beef tapas. The service, presentation and taste of the items were wonderful.
Perfect spot away from the crowds with high end tapas. Delicious with perfect atmosphere to recover from a day of site-seeing..
Drop everything you are doing right now, hop on a flight to Toledo, and eat here. It's that good. Seriously, the service, the food, the environment, exquisite. If I could give this place seven stars, I would. Even the basic Ceasar salad my Mom-in-Law ordered...was amazing. All around a really amazing experience. If I ever happen by Toledo again (oh, and I SO hope I will), I will eat here again. Maybe twice. Or more. Anyway, one very interesting feature is in the restaurant, while a very modern setting, it is built into an ancient building. Over one of the doorways, there is a beam engraved with Arabic writing. Now, given the Muslims were expelled from Spain back in 1610 or so, this implies that beam is over 413 years old... older then the United States! Eat here!More
Wow, how often is your next door neighbour a fantastic restaurant? An uncharacteristically drab Toledo day found us planning a long lunch, and we decided to try the next door restaurant. Best decision of our three day stay. The degustation menu was fabulous, great value...for money, and the service was perfecto. We’ve already messaged future residents at our Airbnb to let them know their good fortune in choosing their accommodation. If your accommodation is further away, you should still make a beeline for Alfileritos as quickly as you possibly can.More
We selected the tasting menu and it was great! They consulted us and helped us select the plates that we would like. The restaurant itself has a great ambiance and it was nice to see big families having dinner together.
Fantastic food in a really nice environment. We booked online and arrived to be seated in the restaurant. The food was exceptional, we had a fabulous starter of manchego cheeses to start (a half portion was enough for us) and the tempura hake which was...very flavoursome and well cooked. Dessert was an excellent soufflé. We had the house wine by the glass which was great value at about 2.50 euro per glass. Our waitress was exceptional and spoke perfect English. So helpful, friendly and careful to check with the kitchen as to what we could eat with our food intolerances. All for 76 euro! Would highly recommend.More
We visited the 'tavern' (tapas bar on the ground floor) - there's also a restaurant upstairs with a different menu. For tapas we had the Alcachofa con foie (artichoke) and Tosta de solomillo (beef tenderloin on toast) - both excellent, particularly the artichoke. For dessert...we were able to choose from the restaurant menu and shared the Manchego cheese flan with passion fruit stew and thyme ice cream. Fantastic! The flavours were amazing, as you might get in a Michelin-starred restaurant. The staff were great too, really made us feel welcome. If we lived in Toledo, we'd come here regularly!More
Wow, the food was great at Alfileritos 24! Staff doesn't speak much English, but they were very friendly (and tolerant of our terrible Spanish) and Google helped us translate the online menu. I'm a foodie, and the venison slices with sauce of ancient mustard, eggplant...and manchego cheese (chilled to consistency of ice cream) was the best venison dish I've ever had. Also highly recommend the Partridge, leek and avocado salad with yuzu vinaigrette, and the Foie gras with pumpkin, vanilla, brioche, red onion and juniper berries. Even though we only ordered a small meal, they still gave us an amuse bouche (a nice gazpacho).More
Atmosphere quite nice, old/modern. Very friendly waitress. Very nice wine from Madrid LICINIA, recommend it. But the food is terrible, a disaster. Not sure if this comes deep frozen from a cheap “modern food” factory, or whether it is possible to get everything so wrong....Nothing has taste, the raw tuna was to vomit, the mushrooms just the dehydrated ones in water, etc.. One of the worst experience in my life, fortunately the wine was good.More
This is a nice restaurant we stopped in for tappas and had a great experience. Good food and service I would recommend. We were downstairs in what was a room with barrel vaulted ceilings it made a very nice atmosphere.
