This is the best French restaurant in Berlin, located in a very nice area. I love the lunch menu, a fantastic value for money. The food is of great quality. The menu in the evening is extraordinary but obviously higher priced. This is the place...to be, if you like French food/restaurants.More

We‘ve been going to Pastis for years, it’s our favorite restaurant in Berlin. Tried the truffle tagliatelle for the first time today - outstanding and perfectly seasoned. The crevettes roses were also a big hit. Overall an excellent lunch as always.

How can you question a customer when the steak is bad !? And charge on top of it ….typical French attitude of the owner . In general a good restaurant but attitude and how to handle a guest complain needs improvement

We know Pastis for many years as restaurant with authentic French bistro style food but notice a sharp dicline of quality over our last visits this year. Today the restaurant was cold and the heating was just turned on when we arrived at 13.00 h....The "Seezunge mit Petersiliekartoffeln" (40 Euros) was not served as advertised with fresh "Petersiliekartoffeln/Salzkartoffeln" but with pulpy potatoes fried in fat, which diminished the special fine taste of the Seezunge. The "Tagliatelle mit einer Trüffelcrème sowie frisch gehobeltem, italienischem Sommertrüffel" were disappointing too because of the quality of the tasteless truffles, the key part of the meal. The service avoided the usual question "Hat es Ihnen gechmeckt"? and we had the feeling on purpose. We paid for this lunch more than 100 Euros. At another table guests complained about the quality of food and service in comparison to the former standrad as well. We sincerely hope that Pastis restaurant will improve and live up to their former quality which was honored by Michelin with a Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking!More

I love the homemade foie gras here, the best I have had in Berlin, perfect melt in your mouth temperature with a pairing wine, delicious. Tartar was good here. It was a perfect lunch spot outside looking out onto the street. Service was also excellent...here!More

Went to the restaurant for lunch while antiquing in Berlin. I had pasta truffle special which was yummy! The other person had steak tartar. Both quite good but would have had more but the menu is plentiful but in German. The women who served us...spoke English but didn’t offer to help... we used google translate which was ok. She asked about reservations so might suggest u make them.More

What a great find in a quiet neighborhood. We went twice, the first time they were closing but they gave us a great recommendation for a late night place in town. We went back to say thanks and stayed for dinner. The steak tartare was...fantastic, as was the sole. Friendly staff who helped with our pathetic French. Our best meal in Berlin!More

I was very impressed with the service, the ambience and quality of the food. The restaurant is very quiet and it is easy to have a business conversation. I recommend the pre-fixe menu.

We have been regulars at Pastis since it opened in 2010 and although we have tried a number of other French restaurants in Berlin we always come back to the Pastis. Excellent food, especially the fish dishes and the Pommes Alumettes, very good service, and...excellent quality for the price.More

It is a small French restaurant. Best to make reservation. Most, if not all, empoyees are French. Food was excellent. Among some dishes we had duck confit, boudin noir, whole baked fish, various desserts. I cannot say what I liked the best because all the...dishes we had were excellent. They have a French young man serving the tables, who was very nice and polite and helpful translating German menu. I was pleased with service. Very friendly place. Food arrived after reasonable waiting time. Upon our second visit we were recognized and treated like regulars. I only wished I found this restaurant sooner. When in doubt what to eat, go French :)More

Very cosy place with extremely friendly french waiters making you feel immediately welcome. Although the restaurant was quite crowded, the chef de service proposed to have an aperitif at the bar while waiting to be seated. Nice Berlin style amuse bouche, fresh and tasty oysters,...classical French boudin and excellent wine proposal from the barman. To recommend for loversof French cuisine and atmosphère.More

It’s a rather small restaurant and it gives you the feeling of being in France. Very friendly personnel and it’s clear they want to position themselves as fine dining. They don’t pull it off 100%. Small mistakes here and there, biggest probably an over salted...an rather dry entrecôte served with fries which were not home made. It’s worth a visit and prices fit the level. We would consider going again.More
