We met friends we hadn’t seen in years for dinner, we booked 7. The five of us spoke no French, and their manager who spoke English called off suddenly sick! The owners were fabulous! Between their few words, our google translate and their drawings of...pictures, we found lots of dishes to try, all of them were excellent. We got a bottle of champagne, then a bottle of their recommended wine…and then another. Seafood is a must, dishes were tasty and plentiful. We had so much fun with them, the owners threw in calvados for us to finish. We were the only people there all night, but were treated like royalty. I cannot wait to send more friends here, just great.More

Very nice setting, nicely placed on a canal close to the promenade. Inspiring menus, deliciously prepared, good wine card, very kind service. Great value for money.

Although this restaurant is crowded in the summer, it is quieter in the winter. However, the food is very good in every season. Everything is above average.

We’ve been meaning to eat here for several years and tonight we weren’t disappointed. Service and food were both excellent and the location, on a boat, just adds to the experience. Will be back next time we are in Deauville

Food not so tasty, especially considering the price of dishes and the service was slow..The location and the atmosphere were nice

Located on a former barged which is now permanently docked next to the beach, this is an unusual restaurant. We sat at one end, with the view of the setting sun in one window and the marina in another and enjoyed good food and good...service. Dishes were tasty and decent sized and overall this was a good meal. That said, the French do seem to have a tendency to insist on heavy sauce and a steak that might have been perfectly tasty on its own was swimming in a copious layer of mustard sauce that overwhelmed the taste of the meat.More

We were all looking forward to our St Sylvestre celebration meal at La Peniche having eaten here several times previously. However the new management were completely out of their depth. After 3 1/2 hours we had still not received our main courses. When we pointed...this out they then appeared almost instantly but some of the meat was uncooked and the accompaniments were cold. There was no recognition of the problem by the manager until we made a fuss. We ended up missing out on three courses of the menu in addition to the dreadful main course. The best they could do was write off the cost of the wine after an argument. Exceptionally poor service. We won’t be going back!More

They fitted us in despite having no reservation and so glad they did! So friendly, great service and absolutely delicious food. And this place has a superb 360 view of the beautiful Deauville waterfront too.

Enjoyed a nice dinner - the sea bass was especially nice and the oysters were fresh and very nice. Service was friendly and efficient and nice atmosphere overlooking the ships in the harbour. Really enjoyed it !!

The complementary crostini should have been our sign… Stale, the spread without flavour. We should’ve just paid for the wine and we should’ve left. Could’ve, should’ve, but we stayed. It turned out to be a regrettable experience. We went for starters and mains. The gravlax...on toast was nothing more than plain salmon on a casino slice, some lettuce on the side. The fish soup was tasty, which made half of our company slightly recover from the crostini. Then the mains: a sort of cod tartare, which turned out to be quite undefinable. We also ordered the 8 portion prawns. Not quite sure what the idea behind these was; overcooked and served on ice. Flavourless and ice cold. We didn’t even finish the meal. At the checkout we were asked if all had been okay. Our ‘mwah’ was ignored. Such a waste…More

We had a very special and memorable meal here. The menu was beautifully crafted. We chose the 36€ menu with foie gras for starter, chicken for main and tart Tatin for dessert. Also cheese, steak and crème brûlée- classic and memorable French favourites done absolutely...brilliantly. I haven’t enjoyed such a good meal on holiday for a very, very long time. Bravo Le Perniche! The views were incredible too.More

We really enjoyed our lunch on this barge by the seaside except for one very poor course. The restaurant sells shellfish yet my starter of crab with citrus fruits had hardly any fresh crab and a single lemon slice for citrus fruit! Dreadful. My wife...had a good foie gras abdwe both had good and well presented filler steaks. Desserts were good too. Service was slow but friendly.More

We called and specifically asked to sit outside and came to find a packed indoors space with a slightly opened window. When we explained that we are worried and prefer not to sit inside, the waiters were extra rude about it. Explain better, please, what...you offer so you would avoid exposing people to a packed space during a pandemic and also losing the time of 10 people.More
