I got the ravioli- one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Staff was friendly and didn’t mind that I don’t know French. Very welcoming. Food was delicious. Enjoyed sitting on the patio.

Overall i did look for onion soup due to a friend's recommendation (its not served in every area of Paris), and randomly encountered this cafe/restaurant which is right next to metro (Chatelet station) So the good bits: Anton and laura were professional and polite, bringing...water to the table right away with selected drinks, The water tasted good. Onion soup goddessly good, don't miss. Red merlot wine was ok not a big choice if you go for the red wine but it does the job(i do personally like softer reds). Staff giving snacks up on request. Bathroom clean. And the bad bits: no music, persons are allowed to smoke by the premises, so wouldn't recommend for family or ex smokersMore
We stopped in at the Cafe Vigouroux for our first meal in Paris just moments after arriving and couldn't have been more pleased. Our waiter knew pretty quickly that we didn't speak any French (outside of Bonjour) and couldn't have been more gracious. The food...was excellent and the service was great. What more do you need?More
Nice food, really nice waiters (who let me charge my phone in the bar), good wine. Definitely value for money so if you are nearby then it’s worth to try
We were in Paris for 4 days and found ourselves here for one meal on three of the days. Great service and very helpful with choices and for Americans that didn't speak the language but wanted to try some French foods that weren't too different....The fries were to die for and the Croquet Monsieur was wonderful. The creamy vinegarette was excellent.More
After having a long day in Paris and Sainte Chapelle, accidentally found this nice corner cafe near Chatelet station. We had late lunch, which was great. Staff spoke English and was very friendly. It's a good idea to try different restaurants when traveling. However, we...went back to this cafe another day for drink when we were waiting for the train line to be opened .More
We have lunch there and the food is average at least. Burger with eggs didn’t have any taste. The duck was OK. The chicken with curry was average. The waiters were very friendly and entertaining.
Amazing food, EXCELLENT customer service! will definitely be returning when we come back to Paris from Glasgow!💗
Great little spot in a nice area. It's right outside the Chatelet subway entrance. This was the 1st place I ate in Paris. The staff was very friendly. When I asked about beer, the waitress said she didn't drink beer, but Kwak smelled like bananas....That was the best beer I had in Paris. Had a nice conversation with our waiter the last day about his family in the states. Great service. I had a croque monsieur that came with frites and a little salad. Very tasty. I had the same on my last visit and my wife had a veggie burger. It was more of a breaded pattie. Great place to hang out and people watch. Great service, great food and great beer. Can't tell you much about dinner options, but everyone seemed happy.More
We had the steak. It looked amazing and tasted nice but it was a bit tough for our liking. The server was very pleasant and helpful. Overall a good experience.
I went here with a group after work and we were welcomed warmly and very able to practice our French with the Friendly and helpful staff. There is an indoor and outdoor and as France is a smoking country at some points it may come...in but it is the culture here. Food is great and the prices are reasonable for the central location. Pretty fast service and happy to accommodate you.More
Popped into this restaurant as we were passing. The waiter was very friendly and helpful despite my limited French. I ordered the steak tartar which I had never tried before. We also ordered a bottle of rose which was delivered in some sort of clear...plastic bag with ice. The steak tartar was to die for! I was trying something new but I will definitely be having this again! It came with a salad garnish and side of tripled cooked chips which were delicious. Despite a slight language barrier our waiter was very attentive and the food here is well worth trying. This is a hidden gem.More
Arrived 15 minutes before happy hour. Ordered a beer and wine... happy hour came and round two wasn't included in happy hour (just cocktails). Drinks were good and reasonably priced but service was slow. There were several people smoking at the tables 'outside' that were...covered since it is winter and cold, and the smoke filled the bar. So I smelled like smoke hours later. Overall: Drinks good, selection good, cheap Service slow Smells like smokeMore
We visited Paris in November and decided to try this restaurant for dinner. We ate inside but there were more people sitting in the enclosed outside area for drinks and smokes. I had the steak and fries and my wife had the onion soup with...fries. Overall the food was good, nothing to rant about. The service was good as well. We only spoke English and had no problem. The server was courteous to us. Good food. 3 stars at best.More
Waiter at bar made a conscious choice to be rude and was given several chances to correct his attitude. This was not a language issue, we spoke in perfect French but we're obviously labeled as tourists deserving scorn. Barman decided to be curt, dismissive, unhelpful,...and arrogant. Join in and Teach the Parisians a lesson and don't patronize this place.More
