Great location. Lovely service. I was the 'first' to order the ray wing with hollandaise and samphire. Delicious 10/10.Nice that the chef came out to verify my delight. Agree with others that the fillet steak was just not quite right (cool, too big(!), and so...so peppercorn sauce). They recognised it was my Mum's birthday with candles and chocolates. San Miquel not available on the pump that night.More

My husband and I visit Bunnyconnellan Restaurant when we are visiting Cork. We always highly recommended it as the food was always delicious but when we visited it today it was so disappointing. They have a new menu but I think they must have a...new chef as everything from presentation to food quality was disappointing. The starter of breads although a huge portion, were very dry and not good. The starter of scallops were overdone. My husbands fillet steak was just luke warm and served rare and not medium rare as requested. It was also dry. The mustard/pepper sauce was awful. I had the brazed lamb, a type of Indian dish, which was tender but very dry and the presentation was awful too. We didn’t even bother with the desserts. I usually take photos of the food to show to the family but everything just looked awful. Very disappointing!More

I really wanted to like this a lot more than I did, because Bunny’s is one of my favourite places ( for the setting, service and history). This time, I felt like the chef was trying too hard. In some ways it had the makings...of a good meal and in other ways it fell short. The poached turbot was slimey and bland. I think a much better medium could have been found if the turbot was cooked Sous Vide with aromatics and then briefly pan fried at the very end. The desserts were incredibly executed, but felt a little bare and small portioned. I had a much more enjoyable meal at Bunny’s almost half a year ago, but this did not fit my expectations.More

Superb food and great service, we visited here during corks mini heatwave, the location is great overlooking the sea. Nice touch is the gate man radios and we were greeted by name at the front door. Taken to our table and the service was flawless...and excellent. Food was different and delicious, from smoked mackerel pate on warm crusty bread to whipped feta with crackers it was imaginative and full of flavour. The mains were great too! It's not the same as it was i.e. fish and chips and burgers but if u want something special it is really excellentMore

We had a delicious meal at the restaurant tonight. The menu had a few vegetarian options. We received a table by the window. Amazing views. The girl that served us was Italian. She was very professional and friendly. Thank you for a lovely evening. I...would highly recommend this restaurant. We are so lucky it is opened again. I will definitely go back soon 🌻More

This restaurant has stunning views, but alas the food fails to match. We have eaten here several times over the last few months and the big problem is variability in the food served. It's as if the chef has changed several times? For example beef...carpaccio a few months ago was really excellent with cheffy touches. Today's version was a completely different story. A few slices of raw beef, a couple of lettuce leaves (because the rocket delivered that morning wasn't good enough) and a shaving a parmasian cheese. It was tasteless to say the least and not a patch on its former glory. Main course roast pork was overcooked with a fairly tasteless sausage stuffing and the mustard sauce didn't add anything. Come on guys you can do better than this.More

We dined at Bunny's at the same time last year and were so impressed that we went back to Cork for the weekend especially to dine at this amazing restaurant. To say it was disappointing is an understatement. There wasn't even a coaster on the...glass table so our wine glasses were sliding around the table in the condensation. The muscles were cold. The seared calamari portion was tiny and as it was smothered in the nduja/tomatoe sauce you had to look for it. Described as mild by the waitress be aware it is very hot .I'm love chilli but this overpowered everything! The burger was nice but presentation was absent. The biggest rip off was the dots of lemon curd with scattered crumbs. Half of it was missing. When paying our bill Nobody asked if we enjoyed it/ did we have a good evening etc... A very disappointing evening.More

Before you go to Bunny's now, check out their new menu -- pretentious and expensive. The days of reliably good food for lunch are over. Although they open at 3pm, the prices are nighttime prices and we found the menu unappealing and very limited, no...more beautiful fish and chips. We took friends for a birthday lunch and there was literally nothing that sounded good on their mains menu. We ended up with four seafood chowders, a shared mussels starter (not everyone liked mussels and the calamari was cooked with tomatoes!) and four beverages, not even the desserts were appealing. This embarrasing and disappointing lunch cost 100 euros with tip. Won't be going back anytime soon. The view is still great though...More

Bunny’s is an institution, the location of many a bday, communion, going away and retirement party for over three decades of my life. They have recently refurbished the menu so it offers some classics (seafood chowder, An epic sounding burger etc) but also some adventurous...fine dining options, with an emphasis on local and foraged ingredients. I think it’s a resounding success, super creative and tasty. I had the steak tartar (with nasturtium leaves and a few other interesting twists I can quite recall) and a stunning trout dish with a sort of salsa/ceviche of tomato, onion chilli and razor clam. Portions are very generous, so in that respect it is not going to disappoint those from whom that is their main complaint about “fine dining”, but yes prices are maybe a little higher than they were, but not much (a few euro a dish). I think it’s amazing to have such an exciting place to eat on our doorstep and don’t really agree with some of the recent reviews. Try it, and support a great local business doing something out of the ordinary.More

We both ate the burger which was awful. Tomato and garlic emulsion destroyed the taste. Burger very greasy Soggy bun 24 hours later I still have a bad taste from it. Chocolate and hazelnut dessert was delicious. We used to eat here 3/4 times a...year but not anymore. The pricing has always been expensive here but you put up with that because they have a beautiful location and the food was always good. Now it's overpriced poor fare.More

Five of us ate there in June. The food was only just....ok, very disappointing. We are never going back. Please think twice before you book the Bunnyconnellan. Probably a good idea if the manager tries some of the dishes on the menu.
