Unbelievable food at a great price, we ordered a pakistan ghost curry and it was absolutely fabulous. There was plenty for 4 people, (we ordered 2), with real naan bread. We shall certainly order from them each week we are here in Hermanus. Food was...ordered on Wednesday and delivered earlier than stated on Friday with clear instructions on re-heating.More

Thanks so much for your review, how lovely. Perhaps you are referring to the lambs kidneys, deviled of course on a rosti, we have served now for 18 years as we have never served chicken livers. Thanks again.

The best food and the best fun. The devilled kidneys and tagliatelle are memorable, but that’s only because we couldn’t eat everything on the menu! Innes just as memorable and wonderful!!

This is a little hidden gem!!!!! We had the most wonderful Christmas lunch. Intimate, beautiful atmosphere and the view...... The food was sublime. I chose the smoked trout vol au vent , delicious. We all had the turkey and gammon main course and every bit...of it was delicious. The crepes Suzette was sublime, light and fluffy and not to sweet. We were each given a bag of home made fudge to bring home. Delicious. It was just so special!!!!! Thanks to the fabulous owners who catered to our every need. Beautiful selection of wines. We will be back!!!!!More

Relaxed and casual atmosphere, with amazing food. My favourite risotto dish was not on the menu on my latest visit unfortunately, so had my next favourite, the tagiatelle. Good to see local wines on the wine list

A wonderful meal served by the delightful hosts. The food was cooked using fresh products and the ambience was like being at a dinner party?

Our second visit within a month. Phenomenal food and such welcoming and delightful hosts who had us in stitches of laughter on both occasions. Will be back as often as we possibly can. The deviled kidneys are exceptional....I had them for starters and desert. Far...too good to be pigeonholed into only eating them once during the meal. Thank you Innes and Brydon....can’t recommend Havercroft’s highly enoughMore

We’ve been going for more than 7 years and always had such an incredible experience. Brydon’s food is delicious every time and we’re all a little bit in love with the delicious Innes who after a glass of wine will join us and have us...all in helpless hysterics. So lovely to have been back on Sunday and had the same fantastic long, lazy, delicious day!More

I returned to Stanford after 3 and a half years and ended up eating at Havercrofts EVERY SUNDAY for 3 weeks! The food is just as incredible as it was on my first visit 16 years ago! Starting with a mouth-watering goats cheese and roasted...garlic tart followed by the delicious homemade pasta with king prawns in a newburg sauce, my favourite dishes were firmly decided and I couldn’t bring myself to waiver. My brother enjoyed the carrot and coriander soup followed by the beautifully present chicken ballotine on one slightly chilly weekend. The following Sunday was so beautiful we were able to sit outside and he decided on the pork belly, a feast fit for a king! Everything was absolutely delicious, stunningly well presented and the best food we had eaten during our entire trip. So lovely to see that this restaurant is still busy and serving the highest quality food and wine 16 years after our first visit!More

Brydon’s cooking is some of the best I’ve tasted. So much so that I didn’t eat once but twice during my 10 day stay in hermanus. I had the carrot and ginger soup to start and the chicken ballotine for main. Both were absolutely delicious....So much so I couldn’t resist from returning one more time. Oh boy. Was I glad. I don’t think your taste buds have lived until they’ve had brydon’s pork belly. So so rich! I think I can still taste it, especially that gravy! The restaurant is cosy indoors, particularly with the fire going. On a sunny day be sure to grab a table outside. The views are incredible.More

What a treat to have a relaxed Sunday lunch at Havercroft’s. Bryson’s food is excellent and probably the best you can get for miles around. Both the pork belly and the chicken were faultless as mains and the starters and pudding were top drawer. If...you want a real treat book a table at Havercroft’s, you certainly won’t regret it.More

What a joy to return to a Stanford favourite, Havercrofts. As always the food from Brydon’s kitchen was out of this world. Rate his pork belly as the yummiest around and the crepes with orange and brandy were moreish and sublime. We arrived at 13h00...and left at 17h30 after lots of laughs, great food and wine. Thanks again Brydon and Innes yet another fabulous dining experience- you guys rockMore

If local is "lekker" then it should be supported. Rustic setting with a shaded patio where one should dine if the weather is good. Excellent food lovingly prepared by Brydon and always of an excellent flavour. Innes (front of house and wife of Brydon) is...a character and always good for conversation. The kidneys starter is a must and so is the pork belly. Often new items on a shortish menu. Very good wine list. Not on your 'cheap list' but you get what you pay for which has never let us down. Will be back again soon.More

Luckily I made a reservation in time to get a table, as they fill up very quickly, even out of season. My favourite dishes are still on the menu, soufflé starter, the prawn pasta and the artichoke risotto. Lovely local wines by the glass or...bottle, and Inne's naughty sense of humour all add up to make a wonderful experience.More
