Young Transportation Services is the only public transportation that can gets you from Annapolis to the the DC metro which is the best way to get around and visit different areas of Washington DC. YTS's 921 bus route connects Annapolis - the State Captial, to the Nations Captial. Comfortable Shuttle Buses take you for a short 20 minutes ride down Route 50 to New Carrollton Station. From there you can get on the Orange line metro to anywhere you want to go in DC. Also you can board the MARC train which can take you to Baltimore City and BWI ariport. You can literally get anywhere in the world from New Carrollton Station, the Yellow line will take you to Reagan International Airport. The fare to ride is $5 each way and its way cheaper than any other options including driving your own car because you won't have to worry about parking! The bus runs during the week mon-fri and they also run on Saturdays as well so getting to DC on the weekend is no problem! only closed on federal holidays.
