Only a few minutes walk from the village shopping centre of Es Castell, and from Cales Fonts, a traditional small fishing harbour. The white sanded beaches of Punta Prima, Binibeca and Cala Mesquida are less than a 10km drive away. Rooms with panoramic views. Friendly and welcoming staff, always very much appreciated by regular clients, who are considered friends. Absolutely beautiful hotel. Rooms are absolutely spotless & all of the facilities are too. The food was buffet style for starters & desserts & an amazing show chef cooking up everything for the main course. Food was amazing!! With lots of variation each night! (We stayed for a week)! The pool area is beautiful and plenty of sunbeds to go around. It’s the perfect hotel for chilling & relaxing, a very peaceful hotel. The views from the sea view rooms and the pool are breathtaking. We also used the spa and gym (free of charge) and they were both up to a high standard! Also I love the sustainability of this hotel, there was even a drinking water dispenser on floor 2 which was incredibly helpful to me as I drink a lot of water! Also little shop for snacks round the corner from the hotel which was helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a relaxing, beautiful holiday with friendly and welcoming staff. The best part of our trip was the staff, everyone on reception, cleaners, bar workers & food staff were absolutely lovely and made our trip so so special. I really wanted to keep this a secret but that doesn't seem fair. Absolutely stunning small hotel with a jawdropping view of the Mahon waterway from the bar/restaurant and also the pool and sunloungers. Honestly, I PLANNED to walk into Mahon (but it was 33'C and there were so many cute boats to watch go up, go down... totally chilled.) The rooms are fabulous - SUPER comfy beds, great air conditioning, a fridge, fabulous shower, excellent breakfast, great pool, plenty of space. Dinner is good value at 30 euros (good/interesting choice of starters, salads and then good choice for meat-eaters; I had an amazing quinoa - normally I hate quinoa!! - and tofu dish which was so stunning I requested it again and emailed the hotel to get the recipe - which they gave me!). Felt much more like fine dining than other similar hotels I've been to. Overall the atmosphere is chilled and friendly. Guests super friendly. Spa pool is to die for. I can't wait to go back. Es Castell is a pretty little waterfront a pleasant 20 minutes walk away. Tapas at the hippie-looking bar Pindapoi (just around the corner) were SENSATIONAL. The smoked aubergine with chilli infused strawberries on toasts for about 7 euros were zingy fresh, filling and absolutely gorgeous. The town is sweet and the views are, as others have said, to die for. And, when it's not 33', apparently the walk into Mahon is very pleasant. One thing: sound proofing between rooms isn't always brilliant... Other than that, it's faultless so I forgive the couple in the next room for their over-theatrical screams and sighs!! ;)…

When we arrived there was a dreadful smell of drains in our room and we told reception about it. They sent a cleaner, who sprayed air freshener. That didn’t work so they sent a cleaner and the maintenance man but they still couldn’t fix it. The manager said they didn’t have a different room, but to leave the aircon on to alleviate the problem.Next day the manager offered us another room, due to a cancellation or “no show” apparently, so we moved there. The laminate flooring in this room had clearly seen much better days. Some of the board ends were lifting, as were parts of the edges. Not what I expect from an expensive hotel but we put up with it rather than have more hassle. There were notices around the hotel advising that the pool area decking was going to be replaced in 2024. The decking had obviously been in a bad state for some time and, in my opinion, the problem should have been fixed some time ago. When we ordered water it was provided in a nice glass bottle but didn’t have a sealed cap as you would expect, and it didn’t taste very nice. I asked the maitre d’ about this and he told me it was their own tap water which they filtered. Charging almost €3 per bottle for tap water is a shoddy practice. The reception/seating area was gloomy and oppressively warm. The fans were rarely switched on and there didn’t appear to be any functioning aircon. The outside dining area wasn’t cleaned properly - there were pigeon feathers on the floor for a couple of days at one point. One final point was the inconsistency in how drinks were charged to rooms. We were asked for our room key card, sometimes for a signature or simply to say what our room number was. As a result, we had no idea how accurate our final bill was, and I know this lead to mis-charging for some guests. To exacerbate the problem, our final bill was all in Spanish and showed only a date, ticket number and cost so we could not check it for accuracy. What a lovely and friendly hotel. The staff can’t do enough to help. The only downside was the cold pool and jacuzzi. We visited at the end of October and expected the pool to be cold but hope the jacuzzi would be warm, unfortunately it wasn’t. Breakfast was great with loads of choice and an egg station for freshly made omelettes or pancakes. You can sit inside or on the terrace. Both have great views across Mahon harbour. Evening meal was buffet style starter and deserts. The main course you could choose from several options and it was freshly prepared in the kitchen. Tip: you can order more than one meat or accompaniment. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Location wise it is a 10 minute taxi ride (approx €8) to the centre of Mahon. The walk can be 45-60 minutes. Cala Fons is about 10/15 walk away. Most bars and restaurants along the harbour fronts were closed at the time of of year we visited. Hence, going half board. We would definitely visit again but maybe a bit earlier in the year so the pool is warmer and more restaurants are open nearby.…

The hotel was very clean and staff very attentive. We had a wonderful week and plenty of loungers to choose from. We opted for B&B as there are restaurants a ten minute walk away in the port. Mahon is only a ten minute bus ride away, €1.75 each way, and well worth a visit. We did the tourist train ride which saved a lot of walking.
