This hotel is well known in the surrounding area for the quality of it's food. I must admit that when you first walk in to the bar you do have thoughts about turning around and walking out again! But, persevere dear reader, you will NOT be doing the correct thing. The reception you get from the family owners is warm and welcoming. The rooms are OK, so not 5 star but certainly not the worst you will ever have been in, the beds are comfortable. My room did not have en-suite facilities but the bathroom was just next door. VERY surprisingly the food in the restaurant was excellent. Others on here have bemoaned the fact that Aigle doesn't seem to have many good restaurants, don't bother going out to search for them, eat here. You will not be disappointed. In the community of Aigle you will find a few local places and this is one of them. Nothing pretentious, just some very nice local dishes including a very good meats selection (beef/horse, etc). A solid choice if you are in Aigle looking for an easy place for a quality meal with some local wines. Just straightforward: good food, nice wine, friendly service.

There are not so many nice restaurant around Aigle. So we went to this one, a classic local. It is OK but not exceptional. The food was all right, the service was friendly but not super efficient. They have a classic selection of local Swiss food (yes they do fondues and the likes). Customers are a mix of tourists and locals. Convenient parking.
