I have never met a nicer staff in my entire life. Everyone there was so willing to help and make sure my group had a wonderful stay. The hotel itself was beautiful and gave us the opportunity to feel more like a part of the community. I would absolutely stay here again!!

I stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed my stay. The people are extremely friendly and the garden is amazing. There are so many birds visiting this garden like Toucans and Ara's among others . Also they really think about the environment and take good care of the place and the rooms. Its also very close to the beach, which is nice. Thankyou for the stay

The hotel has nice gardens, the rooms are very simple. Ours had air conditioning and fan, which made it so hard for me to understand why there was no hot water in the shower. They just told me they don’t offer it. Since it is wooden you can hear everything from the other rooms in your module. Breakfast was fine, we didn’t try the dinner since the area has so many good restaurants to dine out.

I visited with my wife. There were good and bad things. The staff was very good, polite and helpful. The food was delicious and the location is perfect. A few of the bad things were that the bed was way too noise, even the slightest movement would make it sound, no WiFi in the room and no hot water( not needed, tho. The weather is pretty warm) over all I enjoyed my time there... I would go back...

We didn't even use the room that we'd paid for. The "hotel" was just a series of beaten down old cabins. I've went on camping trips with far better accommodations. No hot water is the least of the problems that this place has. One stiff wind would take down half of the buildings. I'd have felt better about sleeping in an actual tent. Bonus weirdness? An old solar panel left in the middle of the garden space, right outside of the front desk/restaurant area. It isn't connected to anything, just an old piece of garbage on display for some reason. It's like something from an episode of Hoarders.

The Expedia write-up for this place is a little misleading as it doesn't mention that the hotel has cold water only, which I think is very important in helping people to make an informed decision on where to stay. 'free toiletries' is also stretching it for the bar of soap you get by the sink! The location is pretty good with the national park an easy walking distance, the restaurant was nice and very useful to have one on site when we didn't want to venture out during rainy season. The staff are all friendly and helpful. One lady speaks perfect English, but a little Spanish is helpful for communicating with everybody else. The gardens are lovely (would benefit from a bird table to make a bit of a feature of the amount of wildlife they get) and the pool was good and deep (but with children's pool). The reason for my rating is firstly the price point, which I feel is pretty high for a cold water only basic hotel, and the rooms. The rooms are pretty rustic with gaps in the slats which let in quite a lot of bugs. They're reasonably clean on a day to day basis but there are a lot of cobwebs in the ceiling slats and up behind the curtains. The electrics are a bit sparky and the toilet flush was fairly ineffective.

Overall I had an incredible experience here!! This is not your typical hotel however. There were not blankets on the bed, this is fairly typical but we didn't know that at the time and ended up using towels as blankets :) water wasn't hot but definitely warm enough for a shower. We pulled in after dark after looking at a few places and felt like this was the most trustworthy. Woke up to a gorgeous garden of fruit trees, flowers and local wildlife. Staff was very pleasant and those who didnt speak English were patient enough to work with us who should have known more Spanish. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Nice location close to the beach, a little far from the main road if you don't have a car but there is plenty of stuff near by, you can rent a bike for $8 a day, the food at their restaurant is very good, the chicken rice was awesome so many flavors, the room we had did not get wifi and had some large cracks in the walls and ceilings but was fixed immediately in the morning without us even saying anything, they must have saw the tissue stuffed in them, they grounds are very nice and well maintained, nice pool, chickens running around, over all a fun place to stay
