These rustic cedar cottages all with outdoor heated spas sunken into the deck have maximized the privacy and seclusion of the 52 acre property in the Hunter Valley. The cottages all have Oregon beams & rafters, Cathedral ceilings and wooden floorboards. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas cook top, dishwasher, breadmaker with provisions to bake your own bread and even a pod coffee machine. A breakfast hamper is supplied of locally smoked bacon, farm fresh eggs, tomatoes, milk, juice, bread, butter and a selection of cereals. The cottage has coffee, tea and a choice of herbal teas too.Sit back in the lounge watching the flames dance in the wood fire combustion heater while listening to your choice of music from the Bluetooth speaker system. All the decks have the gas barbecue and covered sitting area. Sit back with a glass of Hunter's best wine in the bubbling hot water of your private spa, the best place to star gaze or kangaroo spot. Lovedale, home to the famous Lovedale Long Lunch is filled with excellent restaurants and wineries. The bedrooms all have reverse cycle air-conditioners and all linen and towels are supplied.
We keep coming back because it keeps getting better! My friends and I booked three cottages for our latest long weekend stay here; Schull, Maracas and Salcombe. Leading up to the booking the communication was great, and when we arrived our cabins were perfect as always - comfortable, homely and well appointed - the kitchens were more than capable of handling 25+ of us all cooking together! There are plenty of bathrooms in each cottage so no waiting in line for the shower for such a big group and the spa is always our favourite way to spend a lazy afternoon. We loved the local smokehouse bacon and fresh eggs and tomato hamper for breakfast and our hosts checked in with us via text to make sure we had everything we needed over the three days. Always happy to stay here again, all…

My partner and I visited Manzanilla in 2015 and liked it so much we decided to return for part of our Honeymoon in Jan 2017. The cabins are very secluded, clean and everything functions perfectly. The breakfast provided alongside the breadmaker means we were excited to get up and cook together each morning. The spa on the deck is a real highlight, and amazing in hot or cold weather to sit and look at the stars. There is so much wildlife surrounding the cottages, wallabies, roos, rabbits and even a Goanna! Jane was so wonderful, she helped us get settled and showed us around the cabin on check in. She also drove us to one of our tours and picked us up so we could have a drink! Very generous. I lost my phone at one stage and Jane offered to come and pick us up to drive us around…

The cottage we stayed in was very homely. Some may say rustic, I think homely and comfortable is appropriate. No designer kitchen or bathroom fittings, no restaurant or swimming pool. However, you do get your own private spa, a substantial breakfast hamper, bread maker, and complimentary carafe of port! The location of each cottage is extremely private, secluded and peaceful. The outlook from our cottage was over distant paddocks where we watched cows and kangaroos graze. To appreciate the location, personally I think you need to stay longer than 2 nights. Dominic and Jane are more like friends than owners. I’d like to come back.

Dominic was a very friendly and helpful host. The cottage was nice and secluded, so if you are after views I would suggest to go elsewhere but if total privacy is what you are after then come here. We got to use the spa which we loved, and the cottage itself was quite rustic and quaint. I do agree with another reviewer that the bread maker was very loud (however we were not informed of this-not a big issue though; we just closed our bedroom door). On our first night and next morning the hot water did not work as the gas had run out however Dominic was quick to fix this in the morning when I contacted him. We were not offered any discount or anything for the hot water not working which has impacted the rating of this review. The breakfast that was left was okay (eggs, bacon and…

We have stayed previously and a few things have changed. It is a very rustic, peaceful cabin to stay in. It has a spa on the balcony, which is very clean, a bread maker that in three hours makes delicious fresh bread, we used it twice, it is quite noisy to come on during your sleep (as we discovered the first night) and we don't remember it to be the case when we were there years ago but the host Jane did warn us, so we used it during the day following the first night there. The cottage was a little more tired than we remembered, but it was very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was great, the bbq very clean and all in all it is a lovely place to visit. This is just a personal thing, I did not like the breakfast jam, sugar, cereals or…

I have just spent a 4 day weekend at this exquisite property and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Fantastic accommodation, beautiful location, peaceful, tranquil setting. We stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin with ensuites and an adorable loft bedroom, air conditioned throughout, large bath in the main bathroom and an excellent outdoor spa on the deck. A generous breakfast hamper is provided with enough food for breakfast, lunch & dinner! Everything is provided, no need to bring a thing. A bit far away from the main hub of the Hunter however plenty of wineries close by to keep you occupied if you don't want to drive to Polkobin. The hosts, Dominique and Jane, couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. Would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a…

From the wonderful host Dom, to the secluded, spacious accommodation our four night stay was absolutely amazing. Only a short drive from some of the best wineries in the region which is matched by some of the best food we have ever had. Full kitchen offers fridge, oven, dish washer, stove, microwave and bread maker. Loved having long spa baths close to nature. King size bed was comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Just spent the last 4 days at this fantastic place. So peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was beautifully designed and decorated, huge verandah and spa overlooking paddocks filled with kangaroos. The amenities are amazing - 3 good sized, comfortable bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The living area was so comfortable and the kitchen, especially the bread maker, was brilliant. We made fresh bread everyday, had bacon, eggs, tomatoes, jams, juice, milk, various types of teas and a variety of coffee, each day for breakfast. Many drinks were consumed on the verandah and in the spa. We had two cabins and although they were some distance apart there was no issue. Also did not have to worry about disturbing anyone else. Our hosts, Jane and Dominic were lovely and friendly. Highly recommend…
