I have been visiting this pension for many years now, it is centrally located for easy access to everything. Every year I return to find that Petra and Erwin have been busy again in the off season, making many changes, improvements and updates to the house, there is always a nice surprise waiting to be found in our apartment.

The house and apartments are in great condition and always impeccably clean, there is a cupboard on the top floor to top up apartment requirements as needed. The family are friendly, very accommodating and welcoming. We look forward to visiting each year and certainly again next year.

We went for a Summer trip and on the end we booked a winter ski trip as well.
The winter trip was even better than the summer one. The room is is equipped with everything you need and the host is very pleasant.
If you're enjoying ski, Solden is the place.

We stayed for 10 days over Christmas and it was perfect. The property was super clean, perfectly maintained and the hosts were welcoming and friendly with great English and tolerant of my terrible German. They had an affiliation with the excellent Sport4you ski hire shop, so each morning, we'd walk for a few minutes by the river and collect our ski kit from the closest shop to the main chairlift. We were on the slopes within minutes and never had to wait more than a few seconds for any of the lifts in Soelden or Hochgurgle or OberGurgle. Could not have been better.

After ski, we'd relax in the beautiful Sauna and steam room at the pension before going to a different restaurant every night. All of them great and none of them more than a 6 minute walk from the Pension. The only trouble we had was moderating our calories consumption to match the level of effort we put into the skiing.

At night, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were quiet and the temperature cozy, even when it was -10C outside.

Great value, great location, great skiing and great hospitality.

Me and my friend stayed here for a one week ski vacation at March 2023.
It is a very nice and quite Apartment hotel.
It is located about 100 meters from the main street and a few minutes walk from Giggijoch Cable Car.
There are a few restaurants that are just a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel, and so are many places you can go out to drink and party at night.
You can store your ski equipment next to the gondola (for free at sport4you if you say you are staying at Sportpension Rubin, and also you get a discount for ski rental).
The room was very nice and clean, with a nice porch and a new kitchen, the view from the room was great.
Petra and Erwin are very nice and kind.
Most of our interactions were with Petra, who was always glad to help us with any question we had, and was very kind, patient and welcoming.

Fantastic guesthouse. Great hosts. Great location - close to the bus stop, supermarket and restaurants. The apartment is clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Fresh bread available every morning. The hosts provide current weather information and suggestions for trips or spending free time every day. There is a sauna on site if you like.

Sportpension Rubin is outstanding. The apartment was clean and in great shape, and the facilities inside were everything you could expect for a longer stay. I especially liked the large fridge that had a freezer that could fit ice cube trays. If you don't know, most people in Austria don't use ice in their drinks, so if you're used to doing so you have to make your own. Petra was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The building has a locked area for bike storage, which is appreciated. There's also a sauna, although I didn't personally use it. Overall, I couldn't be happier with Sportpension Rubin and absolutely recommend it.

It seems that for the owners, it's not just a business, but also a passion (besides cycling). Everything is fine-tuned to perfection, clean, tastefully decorated. It's been years since we had a real coffee machine in not-too-expensive rented apartment. For the first time our moka pot also had a vacation.
Silence at night and a nice view from the private balcony. A lot of tourist information and magazines are available at the reception area.
Almost everything you might want on your vacation is within a short walk from here.
Any cons? Well... on the adjacent plot there's a fairly big and ugly aparthotel that partially obstructs the beautiful mountain panorama you can admire from the balcony. And of course few annoyances due to COVID which I guess is to be expected. Overall excellent. We'll definitely come back again!

We have stayed here multiple times and it keeps on improving with each stay. The past year Erwin did a wonderful job redoing the entrance and the ground floor of the building. Petra is always available and a fantastic resource for information on the hiking trails in the area. The apartments are very clean and well organized. The only complaint we have is that Erwin has 4 cows and he has never ever let us meet them!

The apartment we received was large and spacious, clean and very comfortable. Every morning we met the hostess Petra, an amazing woman who gave us tips and updates on the weather. Petra also helped us and directed us. Every day we could take towels to the pool freely, which is not so common elsewhere. The only drawback was the price, which was significantly higher, as well as the use of a washing machine and a dryer, which caused us to postpone the laundry to the next accommodation.Still, for the avoidance of doubt, hospitality at Sportpension Rubin was perfect.

This lovely bed and breakfast, owned by Petra and Erwin is perfectly situated in the quiet area of the town for a good nights sleep, however, town is just a very short stroll away for all necessary amenities.

The hosts are very friendly, genial and welcoming and they both speak English. The house is solidly built, very clean and quiet, it offers a sauna in the basement together with a mini gym and some of the rooms were refurbished last year by Erwin himself, who is a master craftsman. The house offers both rooms and apartments, I have stayed here for many years both to ski and for the occasional summer holiday but always in an apartment, so I am unable to comment on the breakfast. Fresh bread is always offered to us as a morning service and we love to receive the daily newsletter. There is a good free wifi signal as well.

Petra and Erwin are always available for useful tips or information and I would strongly recommend a stay with them.
