Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Inn at Union Square is frequently celebrated for its prime location close to shopping and attractions, and guests often commend the hotel for its impeccable cleanliness and charming, modern atmosphere. While the staff's exceptional service and personalized attention earn rave reviews, some guests are taken aback by the additional 'resort fees' and amenity charges for basics like Wi-Fi. The rooms are consistently described as clean and comfortable, yet a few travelers have noted them to be on the smaller side without notable views.

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. The location is wonderfully central, the reception was a delight, and our room was amazing. We got upgraded a few days before arrival to the Spreckels Suite and waw: spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. The bed was very big and soft, the bathroom was amazing (white marble, dual showers, plenty of delicious smelling soaps, shampoos and lotions...) and the living room was spacious enough for us to spread out all of our belongings to re-pack in our suitcases. 😅 Can't recommend this hotel enough. Very friendly and efficient check-in/check-out, beautiful location and safe.

Wonderful experience with great service that was very attentive. It was within walking distance to the cable car and a fun trip down to the wharf. The room was so clean and the bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was delightful and a great way to start the day.

Very clean room with a very reasonable price in the center of SF. The location is great, only a few steps to the Union Square. Angela was the one greeting me and helped me check in. She is very kind and helpful. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Quaint little nostalgic hotel full of art, updated and super clean. Welcoming and warm staff. Rooms are tiny living but extremely comfortable and super quiet. You won’t want to leave because it’s so peaceful inside. Refrigerator is tiny with no freezer compartment. No valet parking so must pay for parking outside of hotel area. If you want to drive your vehicle, make sure you get parking that allows 24 hour in/out. That was a must for us. Continental breakfast was awesome with fresh pastries, bagels, fruit and yogurts. Fresh coffee, hot water and tea was nice. No microwave on the premises or in the rooms so plan meals accordingly. They do offer a snack vending machine as well as a water fill up station. That was a plus. Will stay here again when we return.

I normally do reviews, but this place is phenomenal! Upon check in, I was greeted with the friendliest front receptionist, Jakara who promptly checked me in and I was on my way within mins. The hotel seemed small from the outside, but inside the room was pretty spacious and really comfortable. In the morning the hotel provided a continental breakfast and oh boy I was excited for everything they offered. They had every type of tea and a variety of different pastries. It was simple but it got me through the day. The area was a tad bit small when all the guests try to grab breakfast at the same time. Overall the hotel was kept pretty clean and in a very convenient location downtown. I was able to walk to most places, Uber didn’t have a problem picking me up, and a quiet location even though the cable cars were running up and down the street a block away. I spoke to Mary Jane at the front desk, who wonderful and sweet. Anything I needed she was always happy to help. During checkout in the morning she printed the receipt for checkout and I was on my way without any hiccup! I was confused about the $20 amenity fee initially, but most hotels include that now. I was still very impressed with this staff and even got to enjoy the lounge at the airport before my flight since I got there early. Overall, I’ll give this place a 10/10.

Dear Guest, Greetings from the team at the Inn At Union Square! Thank you for this truly incredible feedback and for choosing our little boutique hotel for your visit to San Francisco. We are delighted that your expectations were exceeded and that our accommodations and hospitality service blew you away. Our loyal staff will always do whatever is within their power to ensure that our guests have a remarkable stay. We also appreciate your feedback about the amenity fee; if your reservation was prepaid through a 3rd party, most likely, you saw this fee added to the original price, however, upon confirming the booking, the 3rd party only takes payment for room and taxes :) we apologize if this part could be confusing. It was a pleasure having you as our guest and hopefully it will not be too long before you pay us another visit. Until then, take care!

Honestly, it was my first time in SF and I didn’t know what to expect—I chose The Inn because was a close to my concert’s venue… and this place was a godsend! The complimentary light breakfasts were delicious and a great way to start the day of a tourist! The location was also perfect walking distance of Chinatown (I had no idea I booked a stay during the Lunar New Year Parade!) and MUNI transit (that Golden Gate Bridge aint close!) And of course the staff was friendly; I felt like I was home! The Inn at Union Square made my first visit so welcoming and smooth.

This lovely boutique hotel was a real find for us. Very conveniently located. We enjoyed daily maid service & the continental breakfast every day. The staff was very friendly & responsive to any request we had. Robes and an umbrella awaited us in the closet of our room. Highly recommended 5 out of 5!!

This was our first time staying here. Excellent, helpful staff were very accommodating. At first we were worried that the rooms were going to be tiny because the lobby and hallway are small/narrow. The rooms are decently sized. More importantly, they were very clean with comfortable beds and a nice-sized bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located next to the BART and the muni which was perfect for us.

Great place to stay near Union Square. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was a bit small but still suitable for our needs. Can't beat the price for the location. Breakfast was OK - minimal bagels and small pastries and fruit.
