Open seasonally (May 9, 2024 - October 12, 2024), the Kudar Log Cabins is an ideal stopover point for those traveling to and from Grand Teton National Park and the South Entrance to Yellowstone National Park on US Highway 191/US 89. The Kudar is located 2 walking blocks from the Town Square in downtown Jackson Hole to enjoy the local history, shopping, and restaurants. The lodging property is a designated historic property originally built by the hands of brothers Joe and Max Kudar in 1935. The Kudar is famous for its historic log cabins and its original homestead surrounded by a quiet and relaxing, park-like setting in the center of the motel's 3 acres. Guests especially enjoy the convenient parking available right in front of their unit with an excellent downtown location with some of Jackson's most reasonable rates.
The bed is extremely clean and the service is very friendly. However, the room is the smallest I have seen in America. The shower is tiny and will hit the walls. Amenities are minimal. The room is very basic and quite outdated. The heater is so old that I am not sure I will see anything like that anywhere else. The wall are thin - I could hear every noise from the next room. The service is nonexistent - they even do not have a bottle opener. Overall, good deal for the money (the rest of the town is excessively expensive), but would not stay if I was with the family.

Stayed in cabin 17 for 2 nights as a group of 6 friends. Beds plenty big enough for 3 people and really spacious Great shower and location was perfect for exploring Yellowstone and the town of Jackson. Would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed the cozy cabin - clean and simple. Reasonable rates. We forgot one of our own pillows and the management took the time to call and let us know that housekeeping turned it it. Would definately stay in the cabins again!

We traveled to Jackson Hole for a wedding and stayed at Kumar's Motel and Cabins for a couple of nights beforehand. There are reasons not to like the place, but there are plenty more to like it s lot. The motel is built around a complex of log cabins, the first ones built in the 1930's. They are pretty roomy. On both our stays the room fit in two full sized double beds. The rooms include small refrigerators and microwaves. They have flag screen TVs. What's not to like? The rooms have no phones. Our first room had a shower but no tub. Our second room a few days later had a shower and tub. There's soap but no shampoo or other hotel toiletries. However, there are a lot of positives. The motel is centrally located in the center of Jackson. Almost everything you want in…

We arrived at Kudar's on September 15. Randy had made our reservation months ago and greeted us when we arrived. We had called the day before, since we decided to stay another night, and they only had a cabin left, so we took it at a higher rate than the motel rooms. He charged me and I thought it was a bit high, but he said he would email the receipt. The cabin was well cared for and cute as could be. Clean, comfortable, tv, microwave and fridge. Rustic charm. There was a man across the yard working on those cabins. Well cared for. The next day we moved into our motel room. We went to the lobby for our keys and the woman who was working was not very pleasant. Before we even got the keys, she started barking orders at us. It was all so negative. I told her that I…

The Kudar cabin was an excellent stay for us in Jackson. It's just two blocks from the square, lots of restaurants and bars, yet it has a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Our main interest was Teton park which was a easy and quick drive north of the Motel. Our cabin was free standing, small but user friendly, with two beds, fridge, micro, air conditioning and heater. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very clean. All the hooks at the entry and in the bathroom where handy. Great value for Jackson. The internet was weak but we could look things up. No coffee maker in the cabin, but coffee is available in the office or a short walk down the street to a coffee place. Bring shampoo, conditioner and soap. Also no table but the grassy area out front had picnic tables. It's…

Kudar motel & cabins was reasonably priced for Jackson ,Wyoming. All the cabins were full we had to make do with the motel part. The room was very clean & walking distance to stores and restaurants around the square. BUT...there was indoor outdoor carpeting in the room very old needs to be replaced, no outlets in the bathroom plus the bathroom was very tiny ,shower was tiny also no tub. The refrigerator was connected to a surge protector outlet which when you moved it it shut off. Something was wrong with the cord that needs to be replaced . No hangers in the tiny closet what's the use of having a closet if you don't have any hangers. I would go back but I'd make sure I have one of the cabins or maybe the homestead rooms certainly not the motel part.

Dear Gloria S, Thank you for your feedback. The motel units offer a king size bed, small refrigerator, microwave, a bathroom with a 3/4 shower, flat screen tv with cable, and fiber optic internet. The motel units are perfect for an affordable one to two night stay for those looking for a clean room and a good night's rest during their visit to Jackson. We will have our maintenance take a look at the outlets. Hangers! Yes, apologies, will double check motel rooms all have hangers! Thank you!

We reserved all three of the "apartments" in the large house at the back. There was plenty of room for 21 or us to sleep comfortably. The beds were comfortable and having the kitchen and dining space in two of them was nice. It is an older building, had been a house, so things are not perfect, the floors slant a bit. That doesn't bother us. It was clean and had comfortable beds. The location is great, just 2 blocks from the square and the whole place is very, very clean. The only thing I disliked was having so few dishes, when we had a kitchen. Our kids bought food to cook and had a bit of time with that, as there isn't much there to work with but we would definitely stay here again. I also wished there was a coffee pot in the rooms. The coffee in the lobby was pretty…

Thank you for taking the time to review the Kudar Motel and Cabin's homestead stay with us. The 1920's home is designated as a historic building by the Jackson Hole Historical Society. We are proud guests still enjoy it to this day. We ask guests who book in the Two Rooms Kitchens 45 or 46 to purchase disposable goods from the Dollar Store, Smiths, Luckys, or Albertsons if they plan to use the kitchen. We will have housekeeping take a look into what we have for guests to work with. Thanks for your feedback!

The people are the best part of our stay at the Kudar. We arrived a day early by mistake. There was no vacancy at the Kudar. But Liz helped me find phone numbers for other options in Jackson. Unfortunately, there was a large bicycle race finishing in Jackson that weekend and most places had no vacancy. Liz called the Snow King Motel herself and found us a room! We were so happy for her help! We returned the next night to begin a 4 night stay at the Kudar and the service was great the whole time. One note: They have both motel rooms and cabins. Our first night was in the motel #30. It was ok, but didn't smell that good. It was also small. Our stay in Cabin #6 was much better! 2 bedrooms and plenty of space. Clean and comfortable.

Dear climbamountain, It has been quite the summer in Jackson Hole with the National Park's 100th Anniversary. What we love about our lodging community is that we all strive to help our guests when things are short in town for vacancies. Glad to hear the best part of your stay was our staff. We value what we offer our guests...clean, comfortable, affordable stays in downtown Jackson and most especially, a down to earth staff at the Kudar Motel.

To tell you the truth I was a little worried about this one at first. Once we checked in I was really glad we came here instead of a big hotel. We stayed in Cabin 34. The log cabins made it feel more like being in the mountains. The town square is only a short walk which is nice because parking could be a problem. Several good restaurants close by. Nice TV with cable channels and wifi internet also. A great value for your money. Staff very nice and helpful.
