Eden Resort and Suites, BW Premier Collection, garners positive attention for its prime location and the welcoming atmosphere that many guests enjoy. The resort's rooms are commonly commended for their spaciousness and overall cleanliness, though some guests have encountered maintenance issues. While the amenities, including multiple pools, are a highlight for visitors, there are notes of occasional service shortcomings, particularly with room upkeep and poolside noise. Service experiences are mixed, with some guests lauding the friendly staff, while others point to inconsistencies in housekeeping and organization. Additionally, concerns about the resort being overpriced and billing discrepancies have been raised by several travelers.

We wanted a change of scenery after several months of quarantine so we booked a weekend stay at the Eden Resort hoping that they were taking COVID-19 precautions seriously. Overall we were very impressed. All staff members wore masks and the property was very clean. The pool reservations system kept both pools from being too crowded. Staying in a villa was great because it gave us extra space and privacy- I would have preferred that guests not be permitted to smoke in the outdoor space around the villas but there were several smokers. The main disappointment we experience with our staff was that many, many hotel adult guests did not wear masks in the public areas (lobby and hallways) and the hotel staff did not intervene despite signage saying masks were required. I would have strongly preferred that the enforce the mask requirement indoors for everyone's safety. They should also supply hand sanitizer throughout the property includ service was convenient, fairly priced and delicious, hotel staff friendly and attentive. Room service forgot a few items (toast with breakfast) but it was understandable because they were very busy. I recommend they change the indoor pool reservations from one hour to two hours because it would be easier for families with kids. Also at the outdoor pool I think families with children should be seated near the pool for supervision reasons and adults-only parties should be assigned the loungers or tables that are farther away. We were given a table very far from the pool (back near the playground), which did not work for properly supervising our son in the pool and they did not allow us to switch. The Sheetz convenience store adjacent to the hotel made it very easy to pick up drinks and staffs.

I have stayed at several different hotels in Lancaster, many quite nice, but this hotel was above and beyond my expectations. It looks new, spotless and nicely appointed (not gaudy or overdone). The entire staff was friendly, from the reception desk to the hostess at the restaurant to the housekeeping persons I met in the hallway (the place is huge so I confirmed that I was going in the correct direction once or twice). The location is ideal for me (not right in the middle of the business area, but not far away either) and the prices were very reasonable (cost per night and the restaurant for dinner and breakfast). There was a lot of parking available in a well lit lot with a presence of security guards (whenever I visited my car). This hotel is VERY nice, the best hotel I stayed at in Lancaster thus far!!

We have always wanted to stay at this hotel. We were not disappointed. We arrived 3 hours before check in, thinking we would have to wait. But we checked in and were able to go straight to our room. We took advantage of a one night stay package, that included a room overlooking the indoor courtyard and use of all ammenities, and two complimentary breakfast buffet tickets. We enjoyed walking around the property. We also enjoyed being able to watch the activities from the window of our room, in the courtyard. We watched staff set up for a women's breakfast and then tear it down and then set up for a wedding. Quite alot of activity goes into setting up for events. The whole property was very clean, Hotel Staff were all friendly. The room we had had two queen beds, a flatscreen TV, good size bathroom, a table and chairs, a upholstered chair with a stool. Also another shelf type table with a chair. There was a coffee maker, fridge and microwave, and a hair dryer. This room had a pocket door for the bathroom, and a closet to hang clothes. There was also a safe, which we did not use. The only complaint I would have is that there is not alot of counter space in the bathroom for toiletries and items. There is a huge indoor pool, also a pool outdoors. There is an exercise room, with several pieces of very modern equipment, also a dry sauna room. The only thing we have to say disappointed us was the Prime Rib buffet at the Arthurs Restaurant. We had friends that highly recommended this, but we were not happy with the food. Some food seemed tough, like the prime rib and the potatoes in the scalloped potatoes. Altho the salad bar and the dessert bar were awesome. But for the price of $29.99 per person, we felt somewhat cheated that the food was not any better. We have been to Garfield's, which is in another area of the hotel, and we really like it there. There is a buffet also, but more than half the price and less food, of course. But there was no negative in the hotel itself.

Per their online guidelines for Covid we did not see that in place per their website. Workers and pool staff no masks. Guests no masks 99 % of the time. Things that we seen and we addressed seemed to us like we are not in a state of a Covid virus. I been going here over a decade and I was highly dissatisfied with the way they were not having guest follow rules. You can’t say 99% of the guest have health issues and cannot wear masks nor the pool team members. We even seen people next to us check in and employees at check in desk indeed had masks but not even told their policy that is displayed on the doors to check in guests. The pool attendants were working then one decided to play basketball by the pool area where the bathrooms are smack into the middle of the walking area by the pool then went back to work by the check in desk. Everyone was looking at him like what is he doing. They also were in tight groups no masks. The pool was also being cleaned after guests were already swimming in it when they should be done prior to the pool opening. So there was a pool attendant with the net for two hours fishing out bugs in the deep end? I also noticed like a rainbow film on top of the water when the sun hit it when we went for the AM reservations. Why are there 6 pool attendants and 5 not doing anything? There been so many changes I seen and beyond disappointed. Even when we requested a new remote for the room a team member no mask, remote not in a package and no gloves came to my room and handed it to me. The breakfast menu tasted different and was tasteless on several meals when it wasn’t before. I was very upset and so was another family I overheard complain and also complained someone was smoking weed by one of the villas near the pool and nothing was done. I then smelled and seen where she was talking about. The whole place had changed and unfortunately this experience may steer me not to come anymore due to the conditions and rules that should be applied per their website and for their own workers are not applied. No matter what they said I seen a ton of workers with no masks and not even wearing one on their clothes which is a sign of not following rules in such critical times. And if you asked did I see the hotel manager do anything oh yes I watched him from a distance but no idea what was said but in my following days nothing changed. We wore our masks all the time except when swimming and sitting down in our lounge chairs. Even ordering drinks we put it on for the safety of ourselves and the workers. The pool attendant can sit there scold people for touching a pool rope but nothing else is a priority ? As far as the women bathroom. I went into it about 10:30 pool reservations started at 9am. No toilet paper and the sink filthy and used paper towels crumpled up on the sink. I went back to my room to use the bathroom. How can you open the pool not empty the Paula clean up the bathroom and put toilet paper in it? All the attendants ????

We booked this hotel based on the fact that it is one of the few with an indoor pool and also that it described itself as a resort. The property is large but lacks a variety of amenities. Only one restaurant available. When I called for In Room Dining I was told they were on an hour wait and to call back after said hour had passed. Thought that was an odd way of providing service and ended up ordering a pizza off property. I wouldn't have minded waiting an hour for our food to be delivered but wasn't given that option.
The pool area was nice and much attention is paid to keeping it clean. Reservations were easy to make and generally available for the times we wished to visit.
The rooms are clean and fairly well appointed however many of our bed linens were badly yellowed and in seemingly dingy condition which was alarming.
Daily housekeeping service was not available during our stay due to Covid concerns. We were given a trash bag for bagging dirty towels or trash when we checked in. Would have been nice to have automatic towel drop offs outside our door or some such thing. Our room proved to be quite noisy from both highway noise and also hallway noise.
For my family, this "resort" didn't leave much of an impression. Doubtful we will return again.

Tina, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your recent stay. We are sorry to learn that you did not have an exceptional experience here. I have addressed your room service experience with our Food & Beverage manager to ensure that we properly address such orders in the future. For those who want daily housekeeping service, it will be available starting on March 1. Please be aware that our bed linens were not badly yellowed—they are bone, not white, colored sheets. We have many different room types in many different locations, and we have a manager on duty who can address any issues as they arise, including noise. We enforce Quiet Time from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., and we appreciate when guests alert us to any issues so that we can address them immediately. We hope that you will reconsider returning to have the 5-star experience that is typical for our guests. Sincerely, Maria-José Tennison General Manager

Booked a last minute family trip to Lancaster for Trains, Farms, and Ice Cream and had a great trip. We booked one of the 2 bedroom suites with a kitchen and ended up eating all but 2 meals in the room. There were plenty of delicious options locally and the hotel restaurant was not terrible, but the kitchen gave us what we needed most - flexibility and variety. The washer and dryer was also great - as it allowed us to pack light and clean the mud off the kids clothes post farm. Grounds had great outdoor pool and playground, games all around etc..... We had a blast.

The Staff employed all safety precautions during COVID. Masks were worn and spacing guidelines were enforced. They was no room cleaning service but whenever we needed something, a text to the front desk brought the supplies very quickly. The internet was quick, and the food delivery room service from Garfields/Arthurs Terrace was also quick and hot. Everything was clean and managed well.

Just got back a couple weeks ago from a three night weekend at Eden and weren't thrilled at all. We've been coming every summer for about 10 years now and we're looking forward to getting away, especially during the current situation. I totally understand that we're in a time now where things are not going to be completely up to par and I'm fine with that. However, if I'm paying the regular rack rate for a room, upward of $250-$300 a night, I expect it to be maintained and clean. Upon entering the room, we noticed the following: broken bathroom door, broken toilet seat, ripped shower curtain, broken remote control, along w hair in the tub and some sticky substance on the table and chairs. Thankfully, I brought Clorox wipes and cleaned all the surfaces.

We did call maintenance and they were able to rectify some of the issues. Later that evening, I noticed blood stains on my sheet which totally grossed me out. Totally understand that there is no housekeeping and was fine with that, however it was a complete pain to have to call the front desk three times a day to ask for more towels for our family of four. We would also leave our garbage and used towels outside the room and they would sit there for the entire day.

One thing that really bothered me was the inconsistency of enforcing covid safety. I noticed a good portion of staff, working inside the building as well as outside, not wearing masks at all, but then the one time my young daughter pulled down her mask for a minute to adjust it in the lobby, an older man came over to her and told her to put on her mask right away. Meanwhile, the same person watched and spoke to about 8 other people with no mask whatsoever.

There was also no nice little touches this time. No water bottle, no little bag of chocolate, nothing to acknowledge my husband's birthday. Every year we go and they give us a breakfast voucher for his birthday. When I asked, they said, sorry, we're not able to do anything.

I'm not saying that we will not return, however this stay really has me thinking if maybe we should switch it up a bit and maybe try the Amish View which gets superb reviews along w a major emphasis on it's cleanliness and customer service.

starousse18, Thank you for taking the time to leave detailed feedback. We sincerely apologize for any issues you encountered during your stay with us in August. We appreciate that you are long-time guests, and we are truly disheartened that we did not provide you with an exceptional experience, as such an experience is always our goal for every guest. We rely on our guests to alert us to any issues they encounter during their stay so that we can address them immediately, and we keep records of such. Our records do not indicate the extent of the issues you raise here, but rest assured that our housekeeping department takes cleanliness very seriously, and we have implemented enhanced procedures, such as using electrostatic sprayers to disinfect guest rooms and public spaces. We would highly encourage you to alert us of any issues in the future to give us an opportunity to address them in a manner that exceeds your expectations. I can assure you that the health and safety of our guests and our team members is our highest priority and that all Eden team members are committed to the special protocols and procedures we have outlined in our Frequently Asked Questions re: Our COVID-19 Procedures (available at EdenResort.com), including mask wearing. We appreciate your feedback as it enables us to improve. We hope that you will consider returning for what has brought you back over the last 10 years, and if you do so for a birthday or other celebration, please let us know in advance—we’d love to help you celebrate. Sincerely, Maria-José Tennison General Manager

The resort is very nice. I’ve actually been going here for over 12 years and always been satisfied. However, I would recommend going some place else during Covid-19. The website isn’t transparent with certain things during the pandemic. They lay out the rules for the restaurant and recreational activities, but they aren’t transparent regarding certain room selections. We paid extra for the poolside room where typically there would be direct access to the indoor pool. The pool rooms aren’t spectacular and could definitely use updating, so selecting this particular room is strictly for convenience to the pool. However, we couldn’t open the door to access the pool from our room and was notified by the front desk that all poolside rooms are locked due to the pandemic, so they can monitor the traffic in/out of the pool. If this is the case, there should have been a highly visible disclaimer before paying an extra $30 per night for absolutely nothing when I’ve could’ve purchased a better looking room for cheaper. It’s a gimmick if you ask me. Also, the pool was not very clean and you couldn’t even smell an ounce of chlorine. The room felt very icky with bare minimum cleaning during a pandemic. The comforter in the room had spot. I really can’t stand being critical especially since I’ve basically grew up going to this place and it’s like nostalgia for me, but it was a huge disappointment. Especially considering that I came here to add what I thought would’ve been a great experience to my YouTube Hotel Review channel. Such a waste of time and money.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your recent stay with us. We are disheartened to hear that you did not have the 5-star experience that is typical for our guests and that has brought you back for over 12 years. We understand your frustration in not being able to walk directly from your poolside room to the indoor pool; our COVID procedures, designed for the health and safety of our guests and team members, do not currently permit such access. When such access is permitted, we will update our website description of these rooms, which currently indicates that such access may not be permitted due to COVID. Please note that, because of the lack of direct access to the indoor pool, we are not charging more for a poolside room. Our pool is regularly cleaned and maintained. There will not be a strong chlorine smell, however, because our indoor pool uses a salt water system (note: such a system does not result in salty water). We hope that you decide to visit us again so that we can provide an exceptional experience for you. Sincerely, Maria-José Tennison General Manager

I've stayed in the Lancaster area many times and decided to try this place because we wanted a pool during hot weather.

I'm glad I took a chance on this one because it turned out to be very worthwhile.

The pool was very large, there were plenty of chairs and reclining chairs, tables and numerous sun umbrellas. As an added bonus there was a medium size spray park for the children.

There was plenty of parking and I never had trouble finding a spot.

Another benefit is the hotel is not on a busy road and the pool area and gardens are far from traffic. For those of us with small children this is an important benefit, especially given the heavy traffic and dangerous drivers in and around Lancaster.

The room and bath area were averaged sized if not a bit small but they were clean, modern, well soundproofed. We heard very little outside noise from within our room.

I very much appreciated the fact that the room has no less than eight USB charging ports. With all the gadgets a family has these days the availability of charging ports is an important discriminator.

They will service the room but only on request and we didn't bother.

The on site restaurant was of decent quality, convenient, and average priced but the menu selection was very basic and the wine list was minimal and less than basic.

The only negative I have is that during check in the employee manning the counter next to mine told, didn't ask, the man patiently waiting to step aside so someone else to be served first. "It'll take only a second" he told the man next in line. It didn't take a second. It took some time. This shabby display of favoritism didn't sit well with me and others who witnessed it and demonstrates a lack of management oversight and training of staff.

Overall I'm satisfied with this facility, I hope to return, and I recommend.

There are food and drink trucks located right outside of the pool area and you can order and bring into the pool areas where they also have tables and chairs for guests to enjoy. Also the cabanas have mini fridges. Hope this helps.
