Nestled among the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains in the quintessential resort town of Lake Placid, Cobble Mountain Lodge is just emerging from a complete renovation and is ready to exceed your expectations. We offer many different sized cabins, from cozy spaces designed to accommodate two, up to large, multi-room cabins with kitchens designed to sleep 8. You'll be pleased to find authentic Adirondack style woodwork, fireplaces, air-conditioning, Simmons Beauty Rest mattresses, and more. In addition, we offer our cozy, authentic, motel-styled rooms, which can accommodate from 2 to 4 people, and are priced right to cradle you to sleep in the shadow of the Adirondack Mountains. Many improvements and continued renovations are planned for Spring 2017, including a brand new, on-site, secure building for gear storage such as bikes, skis and Ironman gear, and the addition of an outdoor pavilion with fireplace BBQ. We're the LAST hotel on the way out of town heading toward Whiteface Mountain, and directly across the road from the Lake Placid Club Golf Course.

Very nice place. Perfectly located near lake placid. Close to Whiteface and Wilmington. Very quiet. Nice view. Good parking. Reasonably priced. We brought food so we used the small refrigerator and microwave. It’s not fancy but a good place to stay. We’d go back

Everything here was perfect for us. Location was just 1 mile from Main St, it was decorated perfectly and so clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was quiet, even inside the motel section. We had neighbors but never heard them. It was wonderful!

This place is amazing. Such a cozy place to stay and just enjoy the Adirondack mountains. Awesome views and we'll keep cabins. The price was adequate for the accommodations. This is a great place to stay with large families. You are also nestled between mirror lake and lake placid so you get the best of both staying here.

BEWARE. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!! This hotel is very nasty, disgusting, found hair in the sheets, not cleaned properly, staff is very rude, hang up the phone on customers, charge your credit card after you leave and checked out without telling you or calling you. Very unprofessional and unpleasant. I’ll never stay there again and so should you! Plenty other options in the area.

We booked a cabin at the Cobble Mountain Lodge last minute to get to Lake Placid ahead of a snow storm before we moved to our VRBO in the village. The cabin was nice and reasonably priced. The only downside was after we departed we received an awkward phone call asking if we had taken towels with us from the room, which we obviously hadn’t. Otherwise, nice place.

I stayed for two nights during Ironman. One night in a cabin and the second in the motel section. Starr was AWESOME helping me get checked in and on a wait list for the second night. Heather was great helping ALL the travelers enjoy the firepit. Tamara was beyond helpful with a cold drink and letting me charge my cell phone after I had checked out. I truly appreciate her and EVERYONE at Cobble Mountain. I absolutely would recommend this property!! Vert clean!! Very cozy and Everything you want from a stay in the Adirondacks. Also very reasonable rates!!! I wish I could have stayed here for my four nights in Lake Placid!! Kind regards, Ellis Artola

The lodge is not far from downtown. Rooms are small, but functional. Good heat from thermostat and/or a/c style box to crank it up fast. Walking distance to snow shoeing. Friendly staff, including when we needed Saturday night repairs on a TV. There’s a fire pit and some snacks in the registration office. Good Covid safety protocols and the room was perfectly clean. Good price, too. We would definitely go back.

My wife, pup and I have stayed at the Cobble Mountain Lodge 3 times so far, with 2 more trips booked for the future. Our last stay was a total of 4 nights and made up half of our honeymoon. We have stayed in the 1 room attached cabin twice and an unattached apartment that sleeps 6 with a loft once. The small cabins are very cute and comfortable. They are perfect for short stays with a friend or partner. The apartment has a cool loft overlooking the kitchen/living space and a separate bedroom. Our favorite part inside the cabin is the gas fireplace! It added a very rustic and homey feeling while still being super easy to operate. Outside, we had a private yard with a fire pit, bbq and picnic table. The setup was awesome. The folks who work here are very friendly and approachable. They did a wonderful job helping us when we asked and provided us with the privacy we very much enjoy. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of Cobble Mountain Lodge during 2 of our stays. He was very friendly and even played with our pup. It's obvious for him this is just not a business but also a passion. Looking forward to our next stay.
