At the photos there was a stove but I forgot to confirm if we can cook food, so it was disappointing when we arrived it's not working or not allowed. Other than that, I slept of the floor with the sofa mattress because the five of us didn't fit on the king sized bed. When we stayed they're refurbishing/construction so they're only two groups of guests.

Because of the long weekend and mother's day celebration, almost all resorts and hotels are fully booked. Some may have room available but not good enough for family. Then I saw Viking Resort with 3 more rooms available and left with no choice, I booked it regardless of the reviews and average rating. True enough, the resort is basic and very average. Not the type of place you'd want to stay for long due to lack of amenities and not so good look of the rooms. Cons: 1. rooms are smelly when we came in, like it has never been used for long. The toilet in my room is flushing well so had to call the maintenance. The aircon's working fine except it's noisy. The TV at that time is not working for a moment and had to wait for the reactivation of their Cignal cable. They said they've just reloaded it. 2. No toiletries given 3. we were assigned at the second floor and the stairs going there is too old, i was actually afraid it might suddenly break. 4. the heat of the aircon's exhaust at the hallway. I wonder why they placed the aircon there in the first place. 5. look of the rooms are really old. I'm speaking of the standard rooms I booked. Although it's big, it doesn't look very presentable to me. 6. no hangers despite the cabinets. 7. Shower dripping and I did not even use it. 8. restaurant foods too expensive 9. You'd be surprised, when you enter the subdivision or whatever it is, you will have to pay additional 50 pesos per person in order to enter and go to Viking. What's it for, we are not really sure and convinced, I hope they include it in the website or resort info so guests won't be surprised. Pros: 1. location wise, since we came from inflatable island and it's 5-10 minute drive away. 2. very near the beach and they have a pool inside which we also enjoyed. 3. friendly staffs 4. despite the basic rooms, we were able to take a rest well. Maybe we're just too tired as well. 5. Budget wise, it's probably the cheapest you can get. But do not expect anything. Lesson learned to book early, plan early. XD

Went there 4 a quick Han and cheese omelette. Tool long time to serve and (this was my fault) did not properly read the menu. Final price 210 P where Next door beach front costs 140 P only all' in. Lazy young waitress...can't blame. Find an other place there are several in surrounding areas.

I can say that the resort is just as average as it is. If you are looking for an ordinary resort with pool then you can settle on Vikings. PROS: * Reservation is a breeze. We almost cancel the booking but then they agreed to reschedule on another date that we choose. * The staffs were friendly except for those in the resto. * The room was big enough since we are only 4. We reserved for 2 additional mattress but it was big enough for one. * AC is working and cold. Beddings, sheets, towels, etc are generally clean and enough for what you pay for. * So far quiet at night. We were able to rest comfortably. * I must say kudos to the pool since that is what my family enjoyed. There is an access to the beach but too much crowded so we ended up just staying there for awhile then go back to the resort. CONS: * They almost forgot our reservation date. Good thing that we already have a contact person. * Food in the resto is sooooo expensive. Service sucks as well. We waited for over 30mins just for 2 meals. Rice is worth 30php? Do the math. Don't get me wrong but way too expensive thus we opted to buy foods in a nearby 7-11, take note, 7-11. Everything in Subic is only dollar-friendly which I must say, a total RIP-OFF on travelers like us or rather Pinoys, like us. * AC in the room only reaches the sitting area. I think the AC is below 1hp. It doesn't reach the bedroom. Good thing that when we were there, it was quite raining and cold but upon arrival, it was freaking hot. Generally, if you are on a tight budget you can stay here with the family or group of friends. But if you prefer a nicer, cleaner place with full beach access then choose other resorts along Baloy.

ROOM: We initially booked a family room, but when we arrived, it had an electrical problem. Surprisingly, we were given two big rooms to compensate for the problem, and since we were 10 people, it's a major plus for us. Our rooms have fully functional air-cons, stand fans, TVs, stoves and refrigerators. Bedsheets and mattresses are good/clean. Unexpectedly, there were some cockroaches during the night, and the CR door has been detached. STAFF: They were very accommodating! Especially Kuya Berhel. Just request for something, they will take action. POOL: The swimming pool is clean. BEACH: You can go to the beach, but it's hard to get back to hotel at night because residents close the small pathways going back to the road. UTILITIES: Water supply the next day was so scarce, all of us went finding ways to clean ourselves up. This is something to be improved. OVERALL: Just right for a group of visitors staying overnight.

the worst hotel resort I've ever stayed, dirty CR (rusty lavatory) ,rusty mini refrigerator. I expected too much from this resort, but then our stayed is not that good. Days before our stay, I've checked their website, the facilities including swimming pool are nice, also the rooms, that's why Im so excited to stay at that hotel, but the pictures in the website is far away in actual.

we went here with my family so we got 2 deluxe room that were located on the 3rd floor.no elavator. view was nice though.. upon arrival, the first thing we checked out was the pool.it was small and dirty! The water was so dark and filthy.i asked if they clean it regularly and they said they didnt have the chemical to clean it that day..The power went out and they didnt have a generator. The rooms had decent size but the sheet was old and the pillows were disgusting.. lots of fluid stains...stains on the wall and rusted sink... the worst was the aircon filter..The only good thing about this hotel were the people at the restaurant.very nice and helpful.but other than that, they really have to close this hotel.Pizza was good but the other food were just ok and expensive... Dogs everywhere and lots of drunk people singing all night...

I stayed here with a couple of friends. On arrival we were shown to one room which didn't have a working light. We were moved to a different room which didn't have a working shower. Third time lucky, we were moved to an acceptable room. The sheets on the beds were dirty. On the first night we used the aircon then we were informed by the staff the following day that we would be charged 300PHP for using it. We refused to pay because no one had told us there was a charge for using the aircon! There are plenty of better resorts in the area.
