Our group of friends totaled 22 for Labor Day weekend. Nice weather, fish fry, and made new friends with a couple next to us. The Delta house was perfect for us as a couple. Enjoyed the mornings on the front porch drinking coffee with a nice breeze each day. Was a great way to end summer.

The shacks are perfectly furnished, maintaining the old style. There's live music on friday and saturday in a cool bar. Wonderful place to relax with the nicest hosts. We'd definitely stay again. Thanks!

As usual, a fantastic stay! Our air conditioner wasn't cooling well, but they moved us to another shack right next door. Each shack is unique and fun. We enjoyed two nights of music in the Gin Bar and had some good meals in Downtown Clarksdale.

When we first arrived at the Shack Up Inn we were a bit speechless with the outward appearance. We rode thru thru the grounds before checking into the Sugar Shack. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the outside and very surprised by the inside. Very clean and uniquely done.

Great place/experience in Mississippi delta. Serious blues experience, (check the agenda for blues spots (such as reds and ground zero) mostly not on tuesdays). We stayed in the Robert clay room, including a piano.

A real piece of history not to be missed. Rugged but with all the creature comforts. On our porch enjoyed watching crop planes buzzing. . Close to Reds for blues and Ground Zero for jazz. Just stay here, you won’t be disappointed!

We had a Blast- “The Ritz we ain’t” is there Moro but we liked it better. (We have been at the Ritz- We had a large group of Harley Riders and this was a great home base for our travels to Memphis/ and other areas. Live Music / good drinks / good service. Great little gift shop and the main lobby is more like a museum. Check out the Blues activity going on in town. Ate some great BBQ and Tamales at Abe’s at the Crossroads. Got to borrow a guitar and take to my cabin. These rooms are all different but really cool. We will go back. Would have gave it 10 stars if that was a score. We will be back.

Aptly self-described as "the ritz we ain't." I can't say that the Shack Up Inn was really our style - but I'm not convinced you can do better in Clarksdale. Live music on site was a great bonus and the rooms, while not as clean as we'd like, were definitely spacious. Our only complaint was the main light bulb in our shack had gone out before we arrived. Staff let us know about it, but instead of replacing it, they gave us a table lamp - definitely didn't do the trick.

The place is quirky. We stayed in the grain bin. The room was clean, comfortable and the bed was good! Really just a standard hotel room built within the grainery. My only wish would have been for the bar to be open and some live music!
