Perfect location for anniversary trip to Grand Haven. A spectacular sunset and views of the lighthouse. A walk across the street to go swimming on the beautiful warm fall day. A very nice young man let us up to our room and we were pleasantly surprised that it was a full kitchen living room and bedroom and bath. Everything was very clean and neat. Parts of the resort showed a bit of where owing to its age. Owners went out of the way to provide guests with items they needed in the room as well as downstairs for beach enjoyment.

This is a small boutique hotel in Grand Haven. It is directly across from Grand Haven beach on lake Michigan. It is a little rough in the edges. It only has (14) rooms which are all different in size. We stayed in (2) different rooms. They provide beach chairs, umbrella’s, small wave boards, and towels for the beach The owner is very accommodating and his staff will go out of the way to help with anything. The room rates are affordable compared to outrageous prices in Traverse City. It is a little over a mile to town. (20) minute walk, along connector park along the river. Only problem is there are no convenience stores in Grand Haven near the hotel. You will have to drive to Meijer’s 15 minutes away. Anna’s House is great for breakfast and Snug Harbor is good for dinner, both are 20-25 minute walks. Like the owner says 85% of guests on any given day are repeat customers. That says a lot.

This was first time visiting Grand Haven and Bluewater is a hidden gem. You cannot beat the location. You can walk out and overlook Lake Michigan. It is an older establishment which makes it great to be able to take a break and get away from everything. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. The suite had a stove and cooking supplies so it was great to be able to make a simple meal at home. It also has great pricing.

This is an older motel right across from the Grand Haven State Park and within walking distance of shopping & restaurants. They have a variety of rooms, some with kitchens. The property & rooms are very clean, the staff are very friendly, lots of outdoor seating & as already state, the location cannot be beat. The sitting area furniture could use some updating but the beds were comfortable.

This was our first time staying at the downtown property after many times down along the beach. We were surprised how much room the units had. We stayed in #4. Our unit was very clean just as the property always is by the beach. There is an air conditioner in the bedroom and kitchen! Loved having the option to sit outside when it wasn’t too hot. We were a little said we were not by the beach but it was a last minute get away. We did like walking 2 blocks over to get to the harbor and 2 blocks to downtown. These units could using some updating but if you don’t mind this is clean and comfortable and the you will love the location.

Where do I begin..... First of all, my girlfriends and I stayed at the owners downtown location and not this exact place. Apparently the owner has two locations and they're both nasty! The place needed TONS of repairs and needed some serious cleaning!!! We found mouse droppings, someone's hair all over the shower wall, dirty floors & walls, a dead baby cockroach (the list goes on)! Also, upon meeting the owner on our first night there, he was extremely rude to us and very unprofessional. I would never stay here again or stay at any properties this man owns, period! Not after our experience with him and his property. RENTER BEWARE!!

First off the picture for this hotel that shows when you search for this location looks nothing like it. The owner went through my room when I was away. He admitted it to me when he was making accusations towards me

We stayed for a week. First two days we stayed in a room with no view and no A/C. We spoke to owner about it. The sleeper sofa is horrible! Luckily we were only in the room to change and sleep. Next two nights we were in a prime suite. Very large and view of beach. We were bummed when we could only stay in it for two nights and had to return to the room with no view and no A/C. Spoke to owner again and he replaced the the unit. As far as Wi-Fi...yeah only access you have is in their "lobby". Recommend they get a stronger router! It's decor is outdated but not bad. Parking is tough. Make sure you have a pass to park or you could be out of luck.

Super clean rooms overlooking Lake Michigan. Staff was super helpful and friendly plus very accommodating! Priced right since it’s right on the beach. Locally and family owned. Great place to bring the kids.

We stayed here mid week in September and the place was basically empty. We noticed a few other rooms were being used. We arrived without a reservation, and the check in staff gave us a selection of rooms to choose from. We stayed in 9B, it has direct view of Lake Michigan and you can go out on the deck right from your room. There’s plenty of seating out on the deck, although as mentioned, it is a shared space. This time of year, we had it all to ourselves. The room had everything we needed, except for stirrers for our coffee. Otherwise, shampoo, conditioner, soap, coffee, wine glasses, a fridge and a microwave. We kept our slider open throughout the night and it was great to hear the waves from the room. The room was clean, the staff that checked us in was efficient and helpful, and the staff that checked us out was very nice. We walked to the pier from our room, a nice easy walk. Would love to stay here again in the summer and enjoy the area.
