Overall, the rooms were very pretty. We booked x 4 rooms for 2 nights. Issues: Aircon in 1 room was not working (very hot in RSA at the moment), the sheets in 2 rooms were torn and the one room was not very clean (floor very dirty).

We had an amazing stay, dinner was great and we booked a picnic which was about a 5 minute walk from the room and was really nice. Also the wine tasting we did was good, which was about 5 minutes from the picnic. Overall great experience.

We enjoyed our brief stop with you very much. Room, staff and ambience excellent. The views from the estate are lovely and the complimentary wine tasting was a bonus. One slight problem we encountered, not Zorgvliets, fault was that there were two families staying with young children staying who were allowed to run through the dining area playing hide and seek - not ideal! A very small improvement could be made if the toilet door in the dining room had a spring return. It was open for most of the time and I was facing it from my table. As I say a minor thing. We will revisit.

We booked a family room here for 2 nights and were very disappointed with the room given to us (room 12). The state of the bathroom was disgusting and completely unhygienic with mould all around and blocked drains. The room was badly maintained. When I complained to Aneen the manager, she said she was fully booked so could not give us another room. She also said that the room has been complained about previously and required full renovation. She said the best compensation she could give us was a small 400 rand (£16) credit to use in the hotel. This was completely insulting as we paid over £200 per night for the room. When we asked if the owner was available to discuss the matter, we were told that they did not wish to communicate with any guests. We later found out that the owner Stefan in fact lives on the same estate. This experience spoilt the rest of our time in Stellenbosch and would not recommend the place to anyone. The hotel is clearly only here to make money whether or not the room is in a liveable state. The pictures show that this is definitely not a 4 star hotel.…

Very nice small property with excellent winery. The rooms were nice and large but a pit old and need some renovation. Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good for breakfast but for lunch and dinners it was great with very good wine and food. I liked most was the wine tasting area which was great and has a very large selection of wine and serve super nice tasty lunch which I loved and enjoyed.

I wish we stayed at Zorgvliet the entire time. The estate is beautiful, the staff is friendly and fun, and the accommodations feel like my favorite luxury spa at home. I couldn't believe how reasonably priced the room was, especially considering the beautiful landscape, the mountains you wake up to, adorable tasting and dining rooms, and delicious wines. I would go back (it's an 18 hour flight for me) just to stay there and want to bring everyone in my life to this oasis. I also appreciate that the owners and their family live on property and you can see them around the farm...it shows their dedication and care of Zorgvliet. I loved everything about our experience- I felt comfort and luxury on their property and the food and wine were my favorites in South Africa. I highly suggest everyone spend at least 2 nights on property to be able to explore and experience all that Zorgvliet has to offer. …

Zorgvliet is a nice winery estate where we had a wonderful stay. It is situated in a super location, between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch in the middle of the grape fields. We had a nice wine tasting in the afternoon followed by an excellent dinner.

We stayed in the very spacious family room, so with two bathrooms (although one shower had no hot water). Comfy beds and great outlooks on the wine estate and the landscape. The winery was nice, run by charming Robson. Try the wines called after the boss’s daughters! We dined nowhere better than here in the Stellenbosch region. A great tasting experience!

We had a wonderful two night stay at Zorgvliet, made special by the welcoming and attentive staff (Zorgvliet should be very proud of their team), the fabulous food (we ate both nights from the small plates menu) and the beautifully styled interiors. We enjoyed the short walk to the complimentary wine tasting as it gave us an opportunity to really enjoy the setting of the lodge further. We had a car so we were able to explore the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek areas easily from Zorgvliet as a central base.
