the average level hotel is safe, clean and the staff are helpful, the breakfast is inadequate.Bingazi is close to the center. Price is good. cafeteria available for tea and coffee, wifi with charge.ok.

wybór hotelu w Benghazi jest ograniczony, ale chciałbym tego uniknąć. Chociaż nie jest to szczególnie drogie, to również słabe. Wspólne obszary są kiepskie i nie wydaje się być regularnie czyszczone. Pokoje były leniwie unosi urządzone i mały, choć łóżko było bardzo wygodne. Obsługa i jedzenie były chyba najgorsze elementy - obie były wyraźnie brakuje i uważam, że personel bardzo powolna i niezbyt przyjazna.Czytaj dalej

I moved from the Uzu to the Al Wahat as I met a few people staying there and as it was only USD40 a night, and it’s almost as good as staying at the USD110-a-night Uzu. That said, I went at the height of the conflict in early March 2011, so everything’s a little out of the ordinary. The hotel is old and very dated – tiny cockroaches roam the corridors and the rooms from time to time. But at that price in Libya, it’s perfectly acceptable and it’s functional. Big rooms – plenty of space for clothes and luggage, and satellite TV (with CNN etc), and hot water all day. Shower was pretty strong as well. I stayed in a twin room and there were plenty of plugs and I generally have no real complaints about my stay there. Breakfast was horrible (hunk of stale bread plus jam and honey, cornflakes, some tomatoes and boiled eggs, tea and coffee, water and juice) but then again, finding food was immensely difficult at the time so you took what you were given. No internet available – for obvious reasons. And unlike the Uzu, the cleaners did turn up for work. The hotel itself is a bit detached from the central districts of Benghazi - situated northeast of the centre and at the time of my stay, and a taxi was essential. The road outside of the hotel was a prime target for muggers and robbers awaiting foreigners carrying dollars and camera equipment around, however. Taxi drivers ordered by the hotel could not be trusted either (March 2011) If the Al Wahat is full or doesn’t meet your standard, there are two more midrange to good hotels to choose from next door. La stanza presenta condizioni igieniche da paura, lenzuola bucherellate da bruciature di sigarette, immondizia varia lasciata da ospiti precedenti, il pavimento è ricoperto da uno strato di unto su cui sono adagiati dei tappeti altrettanto lerci. Il personale addetto alle "pulizie" si preoccupa principalmente di usufruire delle bevande presenti nel frigo bar. Alla reception hanno una sola persona che parla inglese e che comunque, a qualsiasi richiesta, risponde "Ok, no problem" per poi non fare assolutamente nulla. Nonostante le vetrofanie riportanti il logo Visa non è assolutamente possibile pagare con carta ma pretendono i contanti. Il ristorante offre pollo, fegato, agnello e pesce invariabilmente tutti i giorni, preferibilmente accompagnati da bicchieri e posate sporchi.

When one approaches this hotel it appears quite grand. Unfortunately the reception area is the best part of this hotel! The room was dirty; rubbish on floor, cigarette ends on balcony, dirty light switches and broken plugs on bedside light and fridge!!! The bed sheets were not fresh! Breakfast poor.
