Guests can enjoy a front-row seat to some wow-factor sunsets here, and the snorkelling is incredible. Reserved for adults only, the intimate Récif Attitude has the spirit of a boutique hotel. Dressed in white and pale wood, it’s very light and airy, with beanbags scattered under thatched umbrellas on the beach. The 70 rooms are refined, with monochrome shades and wicker furniture. We were at the hotel to celebrate my birthday. We enjoyed our stay with the spectacular view from the room that gives the Ocean. Liked the Dinner with the surprise Cake. Most of all, the lunch food was amazing along with the dessert. The staff were very helpful, caring and can make you feel that the Yes Attitude was there.

Great location-right on the beach, although nowhere to walk to in the evening. Rooms all facing the sea, could do with redecoration. Water pressure in shower very poor, also took water about 10 - 15 mins to become warm enough for a shower. Meals a bit better than your average hotel, upstairs restaurant very good, but same menu every time it was open. Initial welcome very good- cold flannel and drink, but we’re then kept waiting for about 20 mins before we were given a tour of the hotel and shown to our room. I would recommend having a car to get about the island.

I have been there many times and I usually go for day package as the spa is the best place for me. The spa ladies are so warm specially Jessica and Ritika.....they always welcome us with a smile. Mathieu at the reception so professional and yet friendly. Would miss this place. Wish all the best.

This hotel is outstanding in so many ways. It's very much a 3 star hotel which is punching above it's weight in many areas, namely the location and the staff, which are both exceptional. It is a small hotel with a relaxed and non-pretentious vibe, the ideal place to relax and enjoy some of the best sunsets you will ever see. The food is good and plentiful (especially the fruit at breakfast), and I would recommend booking the Kot Nou tapas restaurant upstairs (open Mon/Wed/Fri) which has a slightly classier and more intimate feel (but get in early, it's only small and quickly gets fully booked). The entertainment is low-key, apart from the Sega dancing where the guests are encouraged to get involved. The rooms are fairly basic but had everything we needed, and the bed we found exceptionally comfortable. My only complaint about our particular room would be that although it faced the sea, we could barely see through the palm trees hanging right over our balcony which blocked the view (this was, however, a problem we could cope with)! The biggest negative for us was the pool. From the outset we noticed that it was a cloudy green colour, and appeared to have a film of debris floating on it most of the time. We did notice attempts to clear it but it really just did not look pleasant so we were not tempted to go in, although other guests did use it. But as the beautiful crystal clear Indian Ocean with it's abundance of tropical fish it's literally a few paces away, why would you bother anyway?! As long as you are happy with a warm welcome rather and simplicity rather than luxury, you will not regret coming here. NB the Recif Attitude is closing for a refit in mid December, but anyone coming before then should not be put off, you're in for a treat.

Our stay was very expectional, staff and service was outstanding at all times. Unfortunately my Husband wasn't we'll have we recieved exceptional help from our Bellboy called Adesh at all times and always checked in on my Husband and I. Adesh is an expectional assest to Recif Attitude resort. He was always happy and always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help.

We spent two weeks here in September and our stay was faultless. Everything from arrival to departure was perfect. Our room was clean and spacious, the food was fantastic, and drinks as we were all inclusive. The staff were not intrusive but were helpful and always available when needed. We loved the picnic boxes which were available if you were out for the day. The beach was wonderful with amazing snorkelling. It is one of the most relaxing hotels I have ever stayed at and would love to return at some point. Loved the fact it was adult only. We loved the dogs in and around the hotel as we are dog lovers, though I understand this may not suit some people when visiting, however it made us feel more relaxed and at home. Thank you for our wonderful stay.

We booked our trip reading the good reviews. But however everything turned into disaster after reaching there. As we were about to enter the hotel our driver mentioned, the staff never welcomes the guest. After 10 mins we see the receptionist lady come and greet us with not even a faint smile on her face. We were offered a welcome drink after 40 mins of our arrival as she was scanning our documents which took forever . We emailed them previously to offer us a room with a better view but we were placed in a garden view room, though partially the ocean could be viewed. She was commanding us “hey you get what you pay “ You didn’t pay for the ocean view room- you don’t get it !!! Since our booking was through Make My Trip that Option of the room was not available and so we had to email them. However it was of no help ! It was my birthday on the 7th and we requested to see if anything for the room could have been done we were even ready to pay any additional amount for a room with a better view . However nothing was done . She even snatched my passport to make sure if it was my birthday or not or if I am faking. Extremely disappointing!!! Indians should stay away as we felt they being extremely mean and treat you as negligible in front of other guest and European guest. As we were the only Indians during our stay. We were asked to carry our water bottle from the room to drink water during dinner or breakfast … as a hotel staff mentioned that the bottled kept at the dining area are special bottles. “ however let me say it - I SAW THEM FILLING SAME DRINKING WATER IN THOSE BOTTLES which we were refused to be given. The rooms were never cleaned properly same towels would be folded and kept again for use. Extremely bad food sane menu gets repeated again and again. The only good thing we did was that we never stayed entire day at the hotel as we had activities everyday to do and we enjoyed our trip to the fullest when we were outside the hotel. We used to leave early and at times not have dinner at the hotel and have it outside as the food was pathetic. Also to mention the day before we were to leave Mauritius we went to the reception to check if we could be offered a late checkout as our pick up was scheduled at 5.30 pm . We were happy to see few European couples offered late checkout as they were leaving the hotel around 5 to 5.30 pm . The same lady at the reception was there and she was like come tomorrow at 9.30am and we will let you know hopefully you should get it . We expected that our stay was bad . But maybe they will give us a sweet memory at the end but in the morning there were two men at the reception completely ignored us to even stay till 12pm . They were asking us to vacate at 11.15 am as they had a guest arriving for the room we were staying . Out of the two men at the reception one men was not even looking at us and treating us like we are not even a guest of the hotel. However we decided to leave the place sharp at 12 and we enjoyed our time discovering beautiful places of the south and head to the airport. The only person out of the hotel staf was Vinay - he is a chef from the hotel I believe he was so sweet and if I would carry a little memory of le- Reciff it will be him. Otherwise Veena from reception and the other two men I don’t remember their names - request you to change your attitude . Be equal towards all guest . Attitude is a good chain- don’t spoil its name . People tend to come back to a place for the treatment and Behavior they get during the stay. Because of you guys I would never in my wildest dream ever come to stay here again . Hope my review helps!

It is, indeed, regrettable that during your one-week stay, we were not informed about your dissatisfaction; we would have done our best to turn around the situation to make your holidays more enjoyable among us. After inquiries, I would like to bring some clarification as regards various remarks that have been made. Your comment about the room facilities and the cleanliness has been well noted. However, I would like to confirm that the cleaning of the rooms and the overall areas is done daily, and we do regular maintenance work in the rooms. Rest assured if we had received your feedback while being in-house, we would have assisted you and improved your holiday experience. I sincerely apologise for all the inconvenience. Concerning the food quality, I would like to highlight that we are continuously reviewing our culinary programmes to cater to the largest crowd. We are, nonetheless, realistic in that we will not be able to please everyone as taste and preferences are subjective matters. But being a small property, we tend to respond to individual needs and preferences as far as resourcefully possible. We take good note of some of your comments regarding our family members, we are in the process of planning forthcoming training programmes taking place during our low season. Having said that, we are continually training our people in on-the-job training. It is sad that things did not go well. We, sincerely apologize if you were offended; this was not, is not, and will never be in our intention. But we do believe in the necessity of some ground rules for the good running of the property, and for the benefits of all. It is regrettable to hold such negative emotions, but I do see that you felt offended in the way things were dealt with, and we do sincerely apology for same. It was not in our intention, nor will it ever be in our intention to be offensive to people and to our guests. I humbly believe that everybody is entitled to his/ her own opinion which we respect. And we do respect yours as well. Finally, with all due respect, I must state that if there is one area where we always score excellently high, is the politeness, warmth, and friendliness of our staff. Just arrived back from 13 nights at Recif Attitude. We wanted a quiet, chilled, sit by the beach holiday and that's exactly what we got. I don't think it could be closer to the beach! We had a standard beach front room that I would totally recommend. For the bit extra that it costs it's well worth it for the sound and a view of the Indian ocean right outside the room! The food was great, a good variety to choose from and all of the staff were very friendly. Couldn't do enough for us. We also treated ourselves to an ayurvedic massage at the hotel spa which was excellent. If you're into your snorkeling then a reef full of amazing marine fish is literally yards away. If you just want to bathe then there's a sandy walk into the sea right outside the main part of the hotel. This was a truly relaxing holiday!

A peaceful, beautiful home from home holiday. Me and my partner stayed in the Recif Attitude for 10 days (all inclusive). A break down below. The food The food was fantastic. Breakfast ranged from cereal to freshly made omelettes, waffles, fresh juices, fresh fruit and yoghurt. Lunch was made to order, you with a variety of choices which also included a small street food spot which served up traditional foods. Dinner was a range of traditional food as well something for everyone. Curry’s, pastas, fish, vegetables. Something for everyone! The staff There isn’t a member of staff here that isn’t completely happy to help in anyway possible. Whether it be with food, carrying bags, making drinks, giving advice or just simply saying hello. They recognise your face and remember the drinks and tables you like. Talking of drinks … all the cocktails and rum (Rhum) are delicious and strong! It was my birthday while we were here and they brought me out a cake with candles and everyone wished me a happy birthday through out the day! Everyone was just so nice and tentative nothing was any trouble. The rooms They were pleasant and clean, good shower, fantastic pillows the air con worked well and our room was set just back off the beach so we could fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the waves. All in all this place is a perfect get away for couples or friends (adults only). The views are fantastic, the weather is warm, the beaches and views are once in a life time.

Nice atmosphere at the hotel. We booked a beachfront seaview room, was just amazing. Very soothing & peaceful. Mr Azagen, restaurant manager is the best !!!!!! He provided the best service, we were totally impressed by his service, he constantly made sure that we were at ease. All other staffs also were at their best. The only issue we had at the hotel : there were 4-5 stray dogs getting access in the hotel, in the restaurant!! Overall all good. Highly recommend the hotel, specially Mr Azagen. From Mr & Mrs Goolab
