Just returned from a beautiful trip to Croatia and while there enjoyed 3 amazing days in Split. We chose this luxury apartment as it was very spacious for 3 couples, had private baths with each bedroom, a great roof top patio for happy hours, kitchen etc. The owner, Gordan, provided us with important information about the area and responded to emails, text etc during our stay as well as prior, in a timely manner. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to all the sights of Split so very convenient. The grocery store was close to the home which made it easy to prepare breakfast before a busy day of sightseeing! Great stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights, our host Katarina spoke excellent English and was helpful. We hired 2 rooms for 11 people, the larger room had 3 bedrooms, kitchen and living area which was clean and modern. We did have an issue with the air con on the second night not turning on but lucky the night was not too hot. There was a bucks party from England which were a bit noisy but can happen in any hotel, I myself did not hear them but other did. Would I stay here again yes I would as parking was provided which is a big plus in Split and it’s a small walk from the town centre.

We spent six nights in villa Marjan and were made to feel very welcome by the lovely Katarina , who was happy to recommend restaurants, places to visit, book taxes etc. The hotel is set next to the forest and we made the most of the landscape by hiring bikes. Electric bikes are only 90 kunas for 6 hours and in the heat we were glad we chose the easy option. Katarina booked us a trip around the city and forest with Miros and it was worth the 35 euros each comfy bikes and a friendly informative guide. Villa Marjan is very clean modern and the bed was comfortable which is always a bonus, good location nice secluded wooded alcoves to swim from, 10 minutes from the villa , and Sandra the cleaner is happy to bring anything to improve your stay including lugging a small tab and chairs up a flight of stairs.I would recommend this hotel. We stayed here with another couple just earlier this week. Gordan was a great host, giving us tips and telling where to go and, more importantly, not to go for restaurants. Easy walking distance to the old town straight down a slight hill (walk back up isn't bad either) All the amenities including a full service kitchen, big beds, cold AC in every room a grill (didnt use) and a killer roof deck with views and views. The only knock was the sun tends to come up early during the summer and is bright, The upstairs room with access to the roofdeck has a couple windows that could use some more shade. If you are an early riser, no problems.

Villa Marjan is one of the best places we've ever rented. Our group of seven (plus a baby) were halfway through a two week trip in Croatia and needed to recharge a bit. The three floors (including a rooftop deck) gave us plenty of space spread out. The beds were very comfortable, each bedroom had its own bathroom, and individually controlled a/c units were in every room. We all slept very well. The amenities made it feel like we were staying at a friend's home instead of the usual "bare-minimum" rental unit - big dining room, full-sized refrigerator, large kitchen sink, stove, oven, charcoal grill, comfortable furniture, TVs, bathtubs, washer/dryer, desktop and wifi, etc. Everything was well-maintained and seemed fairly new (owners manuals were next to the appliances in case we needed help). If it hadn't rained, the rooftop terrace would have been an excellent place to hang out at night, but the family room was a fine alternative. The location is also fantastic and was easy to find using our GPS. It's a very quiet neighborhood and we were ready to be off the tourist path for a bit. In fact, the owner's cousins occupied the two floors below us and took care of locking up the building gates at night. A small grocery store and bakery are about half a block away. A bar/cafe was also in walking distance. The walk to old town took maybe 10 minutes and is very straight forward (you only need to walk to the end of the block, turn left, and follow the road...). The walk to the ferry dock on the other side of the old town took only 20 minutes and was also very easy. Finally, the best part is probably Gordan. He was very easy to work with during the booking process and responds quickly to emails. Upon arrival, he spent almost an hour showing us around the house, giving us a lay of the land from the rooftop deck and on maps, answering questions about restaurant recommendations and the ferry, trying to figure out why my cell phone wasn't working, helping us call in a pizza order, etc. When we were leaving, he was very flexible about the baby's nap cutting into checkout time and saved us a heap of time by accompanying the drivers to the ferry dock so they could get the cars in line to board (they followed his car there and that path wasn't as straight forward as the walk was!). I feel very confident recommending Villa Marjan and Gordan for your future travels to Split!

We stayed at Villa Marjan with 2 other couples & a child. It is easy walking distance to the old town. The airconditioning is fantastic. We did not use the dining area, but if you want to cook for yourself everything is there. The roof top area is great for views of the city. A little dark and damp at night, eventhough it was hot.

We chose this villa as we were meeting family from the UK in Split and although we wanted to be together, we also wanted space. This villa absolutely filled the bill in every way. Gordon made us very welcome and nothing was a bother. Definately home away from home with all the mod cons and the airconditioning in every room certainly was welcome after a day out sightseeing.... A ten out of ten place to stay.
