About the hotel The building itself is nice and spacious and comes with a small swimming pool. Being on an busy road results in a lot of noise within the Casa. The location The Casa is on a very busy road in Panama City. Across the road you will find a German restaurant Steinbock. To our surprise with heavy police protection. We found out that about 300 meters to the North a not so save neighborhood is located. From the Casa it's easy access to the corredor sud highway. The room We used the 4 person room. It's on the ground floor and the entrance is just besides the reception which feels strange. The room feels like a cellar/bunker kind of thing. It appears to be a storage area converted to an room. We did not like it at all. The staff We came in the low season and the only guests in the Case. We deed not feel welcome at all. Absolute silent check in. We felt like intruders instead of guests. Cleanliness Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast A simple breakfast is included in the price. Toast, egg, juice and coffee. No fruit. Would I go there again: Definitely not.

The room was spacious and the property was nice. Beautiful courtyard with a mango tree and a small swimming pool. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. He tried so hard to help us when we had a problem booking the cannel tour Highly recommend this property

We stayed at Casa Ramirez in February of 2016. There were 12 of us on a boys trip. It took a little bit of time to warm up to the house but after a couple of hours we were right at home. The house was spacious and accommodating. The pool was definitely a plus for us. Breakfast was really good each morning. The house is in a good and safe location. Not too far from any of the points of interest in Panama City.

This hotel gave us a very good place to sleep, with good quiet rooms, a small swimming pool and wonderfull service. The hotel is situated to visit Panama City. Restaurants on walking distance and good connections for public transport to the old city. Oscar from hotel management even gave us a personal service in showing us the places to be in Panama old city center and the Panama Canal. This is really a good hotel to stay for a couple of days Panama.

Visited Panama City with friends and stayed at the Casa for about 4 days. Its a beautiful property in the heart of the city and felt good to stay in a home. The house comes with an onsite manager, and breakfast every day. The pool is very relaxing, if you are into playing pool - there is also a pool table under a gazebo. There is a beautiful mango tree that kept dropping yummy mangoes that the staff will cut up for you. I would give the property a "good rating" with a huge upside potential. The rooms are decent - the fan in mine did not work. There is AC in each room but the staff does turn them off when you leave the house. The breakfast is decent - usually eggs, cereal, toast, bacon or sausage, fresh juice and fruits. The rooms are simple, some are larger than others. Only 1 safe out of 5 rooms worked. If a little money can be spent, this can be turned around to a top notch house. As I went with a bunch of guys, it was not a big deal, but some ladies but might find some of the basics lacking compared to a hotel. The staff is friendly - Gloria who helps with house work and sets the breakfast is amazing. Excellent location and a beautiful property.

We did not actually stay here, but we stopped in to see if we could leave our things while touring Panama Viejo. They could not have been nicer. They immediately welcomed us and showed us to a storage hall. Then they offered us coffee and tea free of charge. When we came back they said it was no cost. All I can say is WOW. If I ever go back to Panama City this will be number one on my list. So close to Panama Viejo (we walked) and very close to the mall as well.

Beautiful property with huge backyard, pool, and pool table! Very pleasant to hang around. Breakfast is good, with fresh fruit, eggs or pancackes), juice, coffee. Nice owners and staff, quite helpful Dorms in the basement are ok, but probably feel cramped when full. Only one toilet/shower for 8 people in the dorm area. Location is within walking distance of Panama Viejo, but very from the center and Casco Viejo; expect to pay at least 3 USD for taxi each time you want to leave or return.

The staff was friendly and the building was nice at the first glance. But when we entered out room, we found 3 big cockroaches within the first 10 minutes. Looking at the room, it looked not well maintained and obviously not cleaned properly. There were socks under the bed from a previous guest. All in all its not worth the money!

The new owners of this hotel (which is far from being a "boutique hotel" are very nice and helful, but at the tie I spent one night there (October 2015) there was a lot to do to make Casa Ramirez a better place! My room was near to the entrance: the main lights had to be turned on/off from outside the room! Fortunately no one turn them on at the middle of the night :). The big bathroom was really old and the room quite basic. The place for breakfast was very nice, but the breakfast itself rather basic. The area is not nice. It doesn't worth the price.
