More than 10 years, everytime my aunt family takes a business travel, they stay at here. Great location, excellent service and friendly front desk staff are so impressive. As a Beijinger, I even did a weekend escape with my little sister at here on time. (I know that it sounds kind of weird to do a weekend escape in such a biz hotel, haha) I heard that it would not be a IHG Holiday Inn anymore. No words could tell how sad I was. Best wishes to this old hotel. Still on my priority list.

The hotel needs a major renovation... The hotel has a major humidity problem, we found mold in the bathroom, the wall paper was bumpy because of the humidity and the room had a funny smell. They had the heater on and we were melting in the room (there’s no way to turn on the cold air) asked in the reception for help (only 1 person spoke a bit of English and the test didn’t) and they said just turn the air off and open the window (we did that and we couldn’t sleep because of all the noise from the outside). We went with a baby and they gave us a cot (that was nice) but it was all bit up, old and dirty. In the bathroom beside the mold, the bathtub was so dirty (it should be white, but it was gray) you wouldn’t dare to bathe in it and toiletries are really cheap and bad quality, so bring your own... the only good thing about it was the water pressure). Went to their restaurant to get some drinks, bought a bottle of wine and it was good, ordered another bottle and they tried to sell ya a bottle that was already opened and a bit of wine taken away from it, so we refused to buy it. Breakfast was decent but not a lot of variety and the location isn’t too bad, those are the only 2 reason why this hotel deserves 2 stars but no more than that!

This hotel is very low level compared to other hotels of the same brand The advantage is only the location, 5 min drive from Tienanmen square I had a room on the 2nd floor. Corridor is poorly maintained, room doors are old and damaged and rooms inside are like in the year 70s Old and used furniture, bathroom is very small, carpet is used and dirty The room was clean but you do not have this impression from the first look The nice thing is breakfast with a wide choice of food, and price is competitive considering the location People at reception are nice, speaking English, but they do not give any info on hotel facilities and timing for breakfast or lunch or dinner It is clear that the hotel needs to be refurbished

Stayed there for 4 nights during August 2018 for vacation/sightseeing. Overall very good hotel. Staff is friendly and tries hard to help you with everything they can. Breakfast buffet is very nice - you'll find a good selection of western, traditional Chinese and other Asian food. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a good neighborhood, even though a bit farther away from the city center. However, the next underground station and bus station are just around the corner and those get you to the main attractions within 30mins.

A few of the staff do speak English - but try with apps and support from one or two others. For me it did not appeal as an English business or tourists to the area. My room was small, a little tired and old fashioned overlooking other roofs. There was tea making in the room, TV and air con but did not work very well. The bedding and sheets were okay. Bathroom small but okay. Main problem is that there are very ordinary and uninspiring areas to rest outside your bedroom. The gym is tiny and with treadmills but in small rooms, no view and absolutely basic. There is a 'garden style area' for tea and coffee etc but tired and not attractive. There is some parking at this hotel and it is near a small but good little shopping centre. It also appears to have a hairdressers (I did not try) and a dress shop, spa (neither tried by me). It really could do with an upgrade and a clearer focus on what clientele they want to stay.

Really pleased we chose this hotel. Definitely recommend and will stay again. Reception staff are efficent , polite, speak good english and tried to help with all our enquiries. Room is good as is breakfast offering as you would expect from Holiday Inn. Mainly Chinese guests when we were there , but would certainly recommend if you are from abroad as we were. subway is round the corner and gives easy access to all parts of Beijing.

The hotel is nicely located in a quiet neighborhood, close to Metro station, with restaurants, shops, 7 Eleven convenience store in walking distance. We availed day trips on two days organized by the hotel and it was nice experience ! Breakfast in the cafe was good. Room was nice, spacious and modern. Amenities were good. Nice and friendly staff at the Reception, Concierge, Security, Room Service ! Overall, nice experience !

We stayed in the Holiday Inn. Even tough the facilities are kind of “vintage”, the great service is there. The room was very clean. They provided the usual toiletries and nice bathrobes. The only thing that I did not like from the room was the tv. 32 inches tv for a “Superior room” does not make any sense. The beds were very comfortable with the usual choice of soft or hard pillows. Moving on, I have noticed that many here in the reviews had complained about the Holiday Inn breakfast not having enough Western alternatives. That’s not quite true. The breakfast buffet even has pancakes, an omelette station, great coffee, different types of bread, a variety of seasonal fruit and juices. Going for breakfast was the high note for us every day at this Holiday Inn. The staff was helpful and kind.

This hotel is not bad but not great. It’s just average. The rooms were fine but nothing special. You have no control over the temperature. Be prepared to be either hot or cold. The location was good with restaurants nearby and the metro was right around the corner. The staff was helpful, but spoke very little a English. The breakfast was plentiful with a variety of choices. The rest of the dining was pretty bad. The food and the service in the small restaurant was not worth the hassle of waiting forever to get your meal. The one thing I would recommend is changing the dirty floral arrangement in the revolving doors. It does not give ca good first impression.

The hotel is functional and met basic needs. The breakfast had plenty of choices but was lacking in meat choices. Usually only one on the buffet. If noodles and veg wear you down, there is a McDonald's and Costa Coffee within short walking distant as well as a couple other choices. The metro is about 200 yards away and is easy to navigate. It's a bit cumbersome to buy tickets as you need to specify your destination. For touring, this could be a base but you are a bit out of the way making you usually the first to be picked up meaning an hour plus of going around picking up others. There was not much to see within immediate walking distance. The room was good size and fairly clean. The carpet could stand to be steam cleaned. The bathroom was spotless with plenty of high pressure hot water. The one thing that struck me though was that no one smiles. I thought at first it may have been me and a result of the tensions between the US and China government. Well, I watched interactions between staff and customers of a few nationalities and not one smile was seen. While not a deal breaker on staying here, you are left with a sense of the employees not liking their job and finding customers to be a bother.
